Seemann's Deck And Deli

What an assortment!!! Meat, cold meats, breads, german delicacies, etc. The deli side has a huge array of different meat cuts te be had for a meal during the day. My favourite, the chicken schnitzel on a bum with lettuce, tomatoe, gherkin and cheese. Add some mayo and you have a spectacular meal. The eishbeins are fantastic. There is pork neck, pork belly, beef roast, huge frikkadels, pork schnitzels and then some. If you want a breakfast, don't go to early and get pap and kaiings!!! Superb!! The texan ribs is something different. A place that I visit often to taste the fair.

October 2023 Stopped in at the Deli restaurant for lunch. Hubby ordered the Chicken Schnitzel - supposed to be served with bratkartoffelen (fried cubed potatoes) - well, we got chips (fries) chopped up!!!! Not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 2022 I do believe Seemann's have been in Strydompark since 1999 (when we moved to Jhburg). Always busy, always the most amazing meats to buy!!!! Today we stopped for a REALLY late lunch, VERY early dinner - Hein had a chicken schnitzel with chips and a bun ... R56 - huuuge portion, delicious! I had the pork in pita (R50) with chips - oh my goodness, it was such a lot!!!! Absolutely scrumptious! But what I love about these places ... they have imported products. So fun to see interesting jams and chocolates.

I’ve decided that I’d like to learn German. Signed up for Duo Lingo and am on a 7 day streak. To assist with my enculturation. My good partner and family decided to give me German presents and we then arranged a German themed birthday meal. And so we stopped in at Seemanns Deli. Wow. What a find. Huge selection. Excellent prices. On the advice of staff, amazing bought Nurenberger, Osterkrainer and Brakeurst sausages ( or should I say wurst). Superb food. What a great birthday meal.
