The owners are always friendly and cordial when I do pop in for a visit. I tend to always order here for special occasions and they have never disappointed. Best curry and momo in Berkshire hands down.

We held our wedding lunch there a few years ago. Great food, great service and great prices! We were treated to sample some dishes for free before we made the booking.

My cousin and his family took me here for the first time and i can't fault it staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was top quality and delicious best curry in reading by far definitely will go here again and i highly recommend it!!!

We enjoyed a family meal here which was fantastic. They also served the coldest beer! Would highly recommend a visit here for any curry fan.

One of the best curries in Reading. I've been coming here for at least 10 years and it's never wavered. A couple of unusual dishes and all the usual crowd pleasers. Fantastic.

I haven't been to The Standard Tandoori for a little while favouring more trendier curry houses in Reading. After going there last night I shall definitely be returning there more often as the food was fantastic as was the service

It was good! I've not had Nepalese food before, but I would say it tasted like the usual indian. Tasty, but indian. Service was great, very attentive.

We had a party of 23 1/2 people having the full works of individual starters, mains, sides and sundrieson Wed evening. The food was excellent and the staff really looked after us. Fantastic evening! Thanks

A good Nepalese restaurant offering the usual "Indian" dishes plus a few others. I've eaten here many times. The Sunday buffet is especially good value at lunchtime and early-mid afternoon and you can see the family eating the same food as you have. My last visit was on a Thursday and we thought the food was not up to their normally high standard. A previous visit was late on a Sunday (the buffet had finished) and our dishes were excellent.

Standard is still a very decent Curry house in Reading, after twenty two years I have been away. Judging by how busy they are, others probably think the same. Service was quick and courteous, even when they were busy. As for the food, well what can I say? Delicious and authentic. Thoroughly recommend their special Biryani and Tandoori mixed grill.
