Monty's Cafe

Nice cozy brunch place run by family with quite a mixture of Lebanese/Turkish and British cuisine. The lamb sausages,hummus and chicken shawarma are the must tries whereas the falafel was lacking some flavour.Also, the salmon with cream cheese was mouth-watering and super fresh. In terms of beverages I loved the homemade Turkish tea and coffee as they were very original and full of aroma, however the iced drinks again were disappointing and not up to the mark. The outside seating area with greenery all around you is quite impressive for meet-ups/brunch dates. Also the place is not on the main road which makes it very quite and comfy to enjoy your cup of coffee in serenity. Overall I would highly recommend this place for this authenticity and ambience.

Hidden gem for breakfast/brunch in and around reading. The service was really top notch. We had a full English breakfast and sunshine mocktail and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cafe Yolk 'down the road' has got some real competitor! Loved their pistachio and vanilla lattes! Highly recommended and will visit it again soon.

I came today for breakfast at Monty's and I can safely say that this is the best breakfast I have had around Reading. The vegan breakfast and lamb sausage mezze are the best. The hidden jewel is Honey date dip. One needs to try it. It is heaven! Mr and Mrs Ibrahim,the owners, are so hospitable and friendly. Please try this cafe as it's the one of the best around this town.
