This place is a gem of a restaurant in Reading. I really loved the variety of dishes on offer and everything I ate here was super tasty. The cashew curry and Sri Lankan cake dessert were highlights for me. I hadn’t tried Sri Lankan food before coming here but I am definitely going to visit this place again in the future!

Went in with friends. Service was great. We ordered a large variety of dishes. Cocktails were superb. Food was good only dishes that wasn’t great is the kuthu roti. Sorry we didn’t enjoy that. Also the chicken wings was a bit tough. Needed more cooking time. Other than that the whole experience was great.

Very welcoming, with a good vibe and great staff. Very accommodating. The food was amazing, definately good value for money. Music was on point!

Got the hot butter cuttlefish and kothu!
The food was awesome.
Would recommend that they give the Chilli paste with the fried rice.
Also if they can increase the portion sizes a bit more it would be awesome.

Lovely experience dining at The Coconut Tree in Reading. Everything from the food, the drinks and the staff was fantastic. Our servers Csenge and Samitha especially went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. They patiently explained the menu to us and suggested dishes to try. The food was warming and delicious especially the prawns and mushrooms which were the highlight for me. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning again.

This place should be absolutely heaving! If you like Asian food, Indian food, African food, this is the place. Its sort of like a tapas sharing kinda thing, with something for all tastes (vegans too). Tasty, fresh and prompt. Took my adult son there on a Sunday afternoon and we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Check out the menu as I don't want to miss anything by only telling you what we had. Service was attentive, friendly and spot on too.

Amazing restaurant, great atmosphere and the staff are so enthusiastic about what they do and are passionate about the food served. Fantastic cocktails, excellent food and very good value for money. Good kids options too. Chetan was fantastic, an asset to the company!

highly recommend trying! The restaurant has an informal fun vibe, lovely staff (thanks Libby) and some great cocktails to go along with your meal.
Highlights for us were the
Chicken curry on the bone
the black pork, the hot butter
calamari, the dhal, pickled
aubergine and the drunken
Sri Lankan. Yes we were full
afterwards 😋
