Chipstar Reading

Hi All, I read a lot of reviews and mostly i am hearing good things about Chipstar. I thank you all for the positive feedback and for the negative reviews the theme I am seeing is either not enough sauce or that we are charging 50p for additional sauces. Firstly you need to understand this is our business model and our sauces are unique and we sell sauces that are hard to find in the UK. You also need to consider that we are a small company and not the giants in the food/retail sector. Please note we have good quality chips which we have had great review/feedback on. We always try to give our customers alot of sauces, and adapt to the requests of our customers for putting sauces in the middle and top of the cone fries we even bypass our policy and some times give our customers two sauces. But we can never win as when we give two customers ask for the third to be free. I wanted to add that our competitors in the UK and EU charge for the first sauce unlike us and in most cases never give two unless you pay and never put more sauces in the middle or top. So it would be appreciated if you can really find it in your hearts to understand we are small and we are trying to grow with a unique model. Thank you

The cosy lighting and minimal style attracted me to this small Dutch style chip shop. The 3 lads and also the lady were super attentive and kind. Menu is nice and snappy, decided to get the wings and fresh chips. Crispy not soggy. Wings were juicy. The machinery used to fry the food looked cool. Love the flavour on the sauce!

Great addition to the centre and nice snack while around the town. Staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The chips are made to order and nice array of sauces; tasty assortment. Overall, I would recommend a try and would go again. Tip is to ask for the sauce via a dip container instead of pouring over the top of the chips; only the top half of chips would get the sauce. Hence the rationale for 4 stars.
