Salt Air

Our dinner was very good. My shrimps & scallops corn chowder was creamy and tasty, albeit a little on the salty side. My grilled salmon was excellent, done just right. I always say that chicken breast and salmon show a chef's calibre. It can be tough & dry if overcooked. However, a couple of the asparagus stems were not nipped enough, rendered it a bit tough. But overall I felt it was very good. My partner had shrimp & sausage over grits. He said his entree was very good too. His chocolate cake dessert was moist, rich & dense. One minor complaint is that toilet paper and paper towels were entirely missing in one bathroom (around 9 pm on Friday, 5/27/22). I would have given a 5-star if the bathroom was kept up.

We had a great experience! Sarah was a wonderful waitress, and the food was delicious. We loved the crab and spinach dip and fries. The chocolate cake was good, and then we had the NY strip and bolognese as entrees. All such great food. I think our favorite was the crab and spinach dip. Definitely recommend. We look forward to coming back again.

Amazing dining experience. Went in with a party of 4 without a reservation on a peak season Saturday night and was able to be seated in the bar area quickly. Atmosphere was great, classy but fun and not stuffy. Great cocktails, extensive wine list, as well as warm, friendly, and prompt service. Food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and plated. Desserts were so good! Portions of everything were perfect. Some may consider the experience expensive but we paid almost the same at lunch for bad Mexican food and weak margaritas, and this was very reasonably priced and delicious and clean! Wonderful experience.

It's been a while since I had the chance to visit long-time favorite Salt Air. Happy to report that it continues to be one of the top places on the DelMarVa to dine. Unable to get reservations we happily joined the communal table in the bar and enjoyed a different experience, but the same wonderful food. A couple of starters as a an entrée and a regular entrée showed all the dishes continue to delight. The clams with the expected sweet peppers in the broth was a great twist, the pierogis (when did I last see those on a menu!) were outstanding and with the seasonal brussels sprouts along with the pancetta and goat cheese made a great meal unto itself. The beautiful seared tuna was elevated with the cold noodle salad that was straight-forward and provided a way for the tuna to shine.
