These were a first for me, they were super simple and crunchy. Glad they don't serve ketchup so you can actually enjoy the flavor.

A beach visit staple. Always good and hit. But no more old bay? I recall getting little cups of old bay to dip the fries in. Will be back year after year regardless!

Hands down, definitely the best fries in town! Whether you favor salt or vinegar, there’s nothing like ‘em. Just don’t expect to put ketchup on them bc that’s a definite no-no. Thrashers does not give out ketchup. Fortunately you don’t need it. They’re absolutely delicious just as they are, and always fresh out of the fryer. But keep in mind that they are cooked in peanut oil for anyone who might have a peanut allergy.

I believe this used to be the location of
George’s Lunch and their fresh cut French Fries.
Thrashers continues the tradition with multiple locations on the boardwalk and Rehoboth Ave.
As the picture will show, a medium cup size spills over into the cardboard tray as they are generous and don’t skimp on portions. $7.50 will get you this amount.
I don’t know how they compare with national franchise Five Guys location on the avenue fries or Louie’s which is next door.
I do notice they have bottles of apple cider vinegar to use on the hot fries whereas traditionally malt vinegar was the go-to addition that Five Guys still uses.
I don’t know if this is a concession to the health conscious or they feel it tastes better. There’s always a line but it moves quickly as they have the routine down to a science.

Amazing fries, must get if you visit the boardwalk

It’s not awesome, not worth the extra price.
It’s good but not much different from the fries that you get an many other places.
A Fritessaus that you can get in Netherlands is way better.

Great fries!! Couldn't find ketchup, though but not sure if that was a fluke. The large fries is great for sharing and it is pretty greasy food but what do you expect from fries. I usually feel crappy after I eat oily foods but I felt fine after eating a ton of these fries with a burger from next door. Maybe they use good oil??

Every bit as good as I remember them being as a kid on the boardwalk in Ocean City MD in the 70s. A lot of places make fries in peanut oil, but only Thrashers seems to get it right. They fry it a little longer to get the perfect crisp. When you undercook them, they just become a wet soggy mess. (Looking at you, 5 Guys.). Also, the price is fairly reasonable. $5 for a (small) cup of perfect fries is a pretty good deal in my boom.
