Shorebreak Lodge

Tried this restaurant for the first time and will definitely be back. You know you’ve found a new favorite place when you can’t decide which unique menu item to order. I ended up with the charred octopus and scallops appetizer portions. We also ordered the brussel sprout app and it was a 10. The char on the octopus was unlike any other way I’ve had it prepared and everyone at the table wanted a bite. The scallops were expertly cooked but the rest of the dish was the star - butternut squash, puréed beets and beet greens had me wishing I could mop up the plate. Our server guided us through the choices from apps to dessert.

Service was great. Food was good. Ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. My husband really enjoyed his lamb osso buco. I loved the house made potato truffle soup. The Brie and naan were ok. The hummus was good. I ordered the roasted beat and goat cheese salad and I’m pretty sure it had blue cheese on it instead. Unfortunately I strongly dislike blue cheese. Other than that we had a pretty good experience!

Amazing meal and service! We ordered the octopus appetizer to start which was the freshest octopus we've ever had. For main entree we had the surf n turf and the porch k chop. Both were cooked to perfection. Our server Michael recommended our dishes and was spot on with his suggestions. Everything was so good we changed our plans for dinner the next night to return. If you are staying in Rehoboth Beach for dinner this is a must!

Highly recommend the Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant! The owners were friendly and welcoming to guests. The food was fresh and tasted amazing! I had the squid ink pasta dish and it was perfect! The ambience was posh but relaxed, with samba music playing during dinner. This is my new favorite restaurant steps away from the beach.

We were looking for a place that could accommodate 10 people. We have the same go to spot every year, however we didn't make a reservation in timem. I didn't expect it to be that hard for places to accommodate, but it was. This place was able to do that and I'm glad they did because everything was great! From the moment we walked in, our table wasn't ready but we sat in a waiting area and our waiter gave us menus to look at while we waited for our table, took our drink orders so we can start while we waited. When we finally got sat, service was quick all around and the food was amazing! I was torn between just scallops or surf and turf, I'm so glad I got the surf and turf, perfect portion size and best of both worlds, delicious! The owner of the restaurant stopped by our table to check if everything was okay and it's nice to see that! We enjoyed checking out new places to try!

This place has the most delicious dishes, but I was told I would need to make reservations three days ahead. Has anyone else ever heard of this? We were seated in a rear dining room, and as time passed, with all the people who walked up to this restaurant, no one else was seated back there out of sight. I went to the men's room and noticed plenty of empty tables. They weren't closed off for social distancing, either! I was assured this was not an intentional act but I felt as if we were being hidden from the public view because we were different. Otherwise a candidate for that FIFTH STAR! Our waiter (I'm sorry I misplaced your name, Brother.) was especially gracious and tried to make sure that we were comfortable and that we had everything we wanted. He did a Great job! He May be the Top reason for me to consider a return visit. The drinks were really good, and worth the price. Top quality! As I said the food was really awesome, and the place is Beautiful! If you know what time you'll be hungry three days from now!
