Difebo's Restaurant Rehoboth

I'm picky when it comes to ordering Italian at a restaurant and I was very impressed with their food. I had homemade ravioli with sausage and it was out of this world. My date had the chicken parm and the chicken was like slicing through butter! We took home a pizza for a late night snack and still equally impressed! Can't wait until I visit again in the spring!

We've been to DiFebos before. I worked for Phillip DiFebo up at Feby's. I think they are related. There was a Monday night special. Gnocchi with Crabmeat or Manicotti. Both were superb and unbeatable for the price. The first course was a pea soup that was delightful. Nicely complimented by the warm crusty Italian bread, olive oil and seasoned parmesan accompaniment. Next was an heirloom greens and dried cranberry salad with a mild Vinegarette. The main course was the Gnocchi and Manicotti.

Nice restaurant near the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, about a 10 minute walk. I came here with my girlfriend after walking around on the boardwalk. It’s a nice little restaurant located on the corner of a building. Came on a late Sunday evening and there was no wait. Food was pretty mediocre, for the price, which is why I took two stars. The free bread they gave out was not good. It would’ve tasted a lot better if it was toasted and not cold as we got it. Next up we ordered the Garlic bread appetizer. The bread was pretty good. It had a perfect combination of all the flavors and it had a cheese in the middle. The bread combined with the marinara sauce was great. Next up the entrees. I had the Cavatelli Bolognese and my girlfriend had the Shrimp Pomodoro. C. Bolognese: I asked for no Ricotta and received ricotta anyway. I didn’t like that. Especially not at an semi-expensive restaurant like this one. I didn’t send it back or complain because I’m very against wasting food. *In the photo I took the cheese out and mixed the little bit left in* The dish itself was mediocre. I’ve had better bolognese at Olive Garden. In my opinion, they put way too much mozzarella into the pasta. But that’s just me. The pasta wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t that amazing. Felt extremely bloated afterward because of all the cheese content. Shrimp Pomo.: This dish tasted really nice. I wish the shrimp was a bit softer though. The sauce was nice and light. This overall was a great dish. Overall, it was a decent restaurant. The main push away factor for me is the quality to price ratio. I don’t think the food is really worth the amount they charge. The food was just mediocre and the price was high. For me and my girlfriend it was $72 (including 20% tip). If you’re in the Rehoboth area, try this place out if you’re in the mood for italian.

If you are foodie and from an Italian family don’t choose this spot. Sadly, out of an app, 3 entrees and two kids meals, dessert we were disappointed. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating so the second star was for them! She totally agreed with the gnocchi looking like mashed potatoes. Their special was nicely done but was shocked about the price and not being told the price at the table. Calamari was over salty. Ravioli seemed like the Costco one I’ve tried before, which isn’t great. The blueberry tart was missing a lot and more like a pie with a crumble top which was good but not the described dessert. The pumpkin moose was not flavorful. The tiramisu was very tasty. For the price of this meal and the outcome we feel disappointed. It’s a Thursday night it seemed like the C team was on not the A.
