Cafe De Manila

The host was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Chic N Joy which is a 1/2 a fried chicken, Bopis, (which is pork or beef lungs and heart sautéed in tomatoes, chilies and onions) and Chicken BBQ with a side of garlic fried rice. When the food arrived it looked very appetizing but it was the opposite after we tasted it. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside but it lacked flavor and the BBQ chicken was overcooked too. But the Bopis was full of flavor and delicious.

Oh my gosh! Went to this place for the first time tonight because one of my roommates co-workers recommended it when he found out his husband was Filipino. It was so well received by all of us! My favorite were the lumpia (not pictured) and the longanisa (sweet sausage on the left). I'll be honest, I let my Filipino roommate order so I don't know what everything was, but everything was yummy! My boyfriend is also picky and got the chicken Alfredo and I was pleasantly surprised by that as well. Do expect to wait for your food since it's made fresh (there were even signs about it) but it's well worth the wait! I was super sad to see we were about the only customers there around 6:30-7:30 on a Friday night.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Filipino food!!! Only problem is the service and the time it takes to get your food...literally 30 minutes... here is an insider's tip...call and make an order 30 minutes prior to going to the restaurant..let them know you're dining in but calling ahead...they have NO problem with that.
