Sushi 7

I visited this restaurant for the first time today and very much enjoyed my visit! Staff members were very attentive and nice. I was impressed by the taste of selected rolls, timeliness, overall service by staff, and everything included in the "All you can eat" option. I have found my new favorite sushi joint in Reno!

Giving 2 instead of 1 just because the servers were amazing. The food though deserved 1/5, please go check out how generous and positive I am in my reviews and for me to give such rating would say a lot. This is so far the worst Sushi place I've been to in Reno. I've been to 3 other and they were all miles better than this. First of all the mussels were very cold and almost unchewable and they were served outside the shell as if it was from a frozen mussels. All sushi rolls were very cold as if they were made hours before and kept cool for customers. And the quality and ingredients were uninspired and abysmal. The rice portion of the sushi was more than all other sushi places that I've been to and it was very very expensive too! 32$ for Dinner! Talk about false confidence. I am writing this review to help other people not waste their cherished limited Family time and money and spend it in another Suhsi place unless (and I hope they take this to their heart) unless the owners wake up and increase the quality and ingredients to make better more exciting rolls. My Wife and I tried 7 Sushi rolls, 2 hand rolls and 2 nigiris and appetizers and they were all from subpar to down-right bad.

Have been enjoying this place as a rotation of the other sushi places in town I like going to. The mussels aren’t the greatest but they have a decent variety of appetizers, and the rolls are also good! The only thing is the last time I was there, it felt we were being rushed out from whom I am assuming was one of the owners helping, but she was constantly checking for the payment/check although it wasn’t busy at all and we were still trying to finish eating but our actual server was friendly and attentive.

Loved our hostess and waitress. Both were quick to check on us and make recommendations. One thing was very unsettling however, one of the sushi chefs was eating rice with his gloves on where we could see him at the sushi counter, wiping his nose and coughing near all the food. He was not wearing a mask and did not seem to wash his hands. I was grossed out. We had already ordered, but I initially wanted to leave. I switched seats with my friend, so I couldn't see him and prayed he wasn't the one touching my food. My friend convinced me to stay, but I don't know if I could go back. The ladies there were amazing.
