Qdoba Mexican Eats

We typically love the food at Qdoba but our experience with the customer service at this particular location (6135 S Virginia, Reno) has been extremely poor every time we’ve been there in the last 6 months. The employees do not greet you, if they’re busy with other tasks they don’t even acknowledge or say “we’ll be right with you”, they don’t make eye contact. They close early or are attempting to close prior to posted hours. Today was the final straw, we will not be returning to this location. We showed up at 7:20, with posted closing hours at 8, the chairs for all the tables were up, they were packing up food, didn’t acknowledge us at all as we stood at the counter waiting to order with nobody else in line. We ended up leaving and taking our business to another location (Damonte Ranch), the employees greeted us right away, were alert and friendly, seemed happy to help their customers.

I only order burritos here. I tried them a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed. Their Burritos looked more like a huge Ravioli. Similar to the ones you can get on Long Island... So I just never went back until a couple of weeks ago. The burrito I had was made perfectly. I been craving another so I stopped in today and was really disappointed. The burrito guy behind the counter seemed to be putting out some good food and because the employees outnumbered the guests 5 - 2 he suggested one of the other burrito makers help me.. This burrito maker wasn't very happy about being asked to pitch in but did. I knew there was something wrong when she put my tortilla in the steamer then placed the foil wrap on the counter and started making my burrito in the foil wrap. After realizing she should be using a tortilla instead of foil I let her know what I wanted. Everything was piled in the middle like the Ravioli makers I experienced years ago the only difference was she was able to squeezed the ravioli into a round shape. It wasn't terrible but they could do so much better.

I go to qdoba quite frequently, atleast 2/3 a week after the gym but I specifically avoid this one. The staff is nice but there is one employee that’s been there for a while, she’s heavy set, with puffy hair, and rude as hell. She doesn’t wear a name tag so no one can specifically call her out but I’ve gone to this qdoba plenty of time and EACH and every single time I get rude remarks, terrible attitude, and a smug “dreading my job” attitude from this one person. Terrible employee that honestly doesn’t deserve a job there. I don’t write reviews on google or Yelp but I felt so strongly about how much I hate this qdoba because of that woman. Wear name tags, manage your people and maybe you can actually get a tip when this woman is working.
