This is a quaint little place and you will miss it if you’re not looking for it. They also have free books! There is inside and outside seating (front and back) to make up for how small it is on the inside. My son and I got Vietnamese Coffee and cold brew coffee, breakfast tacos and egg/bacon and cheese croissant. We were not disappointed! The music was not too loud and the staff was very friendly. Definitely check it out.

I love this place! It is extremely family friendly and has great drinks and food items. I usually get a chai latte and the croissant breakfast sandwich which is delicious. I don’t personally love the sandwich bread, but it’s not bad just more of a crunchy/chewy texture. Service is warm and friendly, you will feel welcomed here. Twice a month on Sundays they have a farmer’s market out back. There’s a big outdoor play area for the kiddos and a small indoor play nook. The shady trees on the back lawn make for a relaxing setting.

Vibe- This is a neat coffee house in Richmond, TX! They have a coffee menu and a food menu with a few items as well. There’s seating outside on the front and plenty of seating outside on the back. There’s a good amount of inside seating too. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got tacos with potato and I put some salsa on them and to drink I got an iced matcha latte with oatmilk and vanilla and lavender for sweetness; everything was *chef’s kiss* delicious! Parking- There’s a good amount of spaces in the lot where the building sits.

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Blockhouse! We visited on a Friday morning and there were several people there but we were able to find seating. We also loved the parking in the back by the playground because of the large shaded trees. I ordered the avocado toast but added an egg and it was really good. I didn’t grab any coffee this visit, but I love that you can grab some self serve water. Really enjoy this location for a quick bite and conversation with a loved one. As always the staff were super helpful, attentive and kind. After our visit we were able to check out the stores next door. Such great small businesses with some unique items, worth strolling in to take a visit! Will definitely be back!

My husband told me about this place and finally got to explore it. Definitely lives up to the hype. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food/drinks. I had the muffin and the iced matcha latte. Both delicious. Definitely a spot I will keep in mind! They seem really rooted in the community of Richmond. 😁

Blockhouse Coffee serves a large variety of delicious and well crafted coffees that can satisfy most of the currently trending flavor profiles. The pastries are from a local bakery and include the usual sweet delights like muffins and croissants. There is a good variety of freshly made savory offerings as well for those of us trying to avoid a sugar bomb. The place offers nice indoor and outdoor seating as well as free books for those looking for some reading while sipping on a good coffee.

A true community coffee shop!! I was impressed by Blockhouse from top to bottom. The staff was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable, the sitting areas were very varied depending on what you want to do, and the coffee was fantastic. Blockhouse is built to provide an awesome environment for kids all the way to professionals and I plan on coming back for all kinds of reasons. I'm so happy it's in Richmond!

Always on the lookout for non- chain local coffee shops, got a chance to visit this. Small town vibes when you reach here. Tastefully decorated and the lady on the counter was friendly and welcoming. Ordered a cortado and cappuccino along with an avocado toast. Everything was delicious. Coffee is of great quality . The toast was awesome- the tomato could be a bit less cold :). Will visit it again as soon as we can

I’ve been meaning to come here but it’s closed by the time I’m off. So today I had an off day & decided to swing through with the littles. Blockhouse is a whole VIBE. Small but quaint. The decor is modern but you feel at home. They have a play area outside for the kids so that’s a plus. My drinks I’m going to be honest.. lacked flavor but I won’t hold that against them. It was much cheaper than Starbucks & the area is nice and kid-friendly. I want to try the food so I’ll most definitely return.
