Deluca Gelato

Deluca Gelato has become my favorite spot for ice cream. They impress with an extensive array of ice creams and delightful Sorbetto options. The ice cream's creamy texture is a pleasure, and the staff's friendliness enhances the comfortable atmosphere, making it perfect for meeting friends. Not to mention, the competitive pricing and minimal waiting time for service make the experience even more enjoyable.

Had the pleasure of visiting DeLuca Gelato for the first time after dinner on the Friday night. The place was busy but the two gentlemen working were efficient. I've never seen such a variety of gelato. It was delicious and a decent value. All the outside tables were taken (people were basically hanging out after eating) but there was ample seating inside. We could have had after dinner chocolate fondue at the Melting Pot or gelato. So happy we chose the latter. Will definitely be back.

Our daughter is allergic to multiple food items, and Deluca Gelato was able to accommodate her with their wide array of non-dairy, nut free, gluten free, and egg-free options. Most of all, I appreciate their attention to avoid cross contamination. All dairy free and nut free options were separate from other options, there are dedicated scoops for each flavor, the server washed her hands and a new scoop (to be extra safe) before serving my daughter her ice cream. Also, all their ice cream is made in-house, and they have a schedule to make non-dairy, nut free ice cream first before their other flavors. In addition they said they double sanitized their ice cream making equipment after each batch is ran. Deluca Gelato, thank you for making it possible for my daughter to feel included in the fun of going to an ice cream shop and enjoying a treat every once in a while. You have found a new loyal customer for sure.

The best gelato in Richmond, they have a lot of flavors, some of them dairy free, sugar-free. The staff is not rude, but they can improve their customer service. Sometimes, you barely hear them, and they have to figure out it may take several minutes to choose a couple of flavors from the huge menu they have.

So many flavors and options! The ice cream was very creamy and delicious, and tasted just like the flavor it said it was. I appreciate that the flavors also had descriptions of what was inside of them. We got the L'Americano, Cannoli, Honey and Almond, Banana and Nutella, and Mint Chocolate Chip. All of the flavors tasted great! I just wish there were chocolate chips mixed inside my Cannoli scoop and more nutella in my Banana Nutella scoop. I would definitely return!
