Solid establishment for a nice sit down Chinese restaurant. The food was excellent. The happy family was amazing if not a touch dry. The honey chicken was absolutely amazing with the flavor and the tenderness. The only suggest I have is to do some minor updates and full turn over of the ceiling curtains. Thank you so much, we will be back.

We have been Yen Ching customers for over 20 years, and the food, ambiance, and service have been consistently great.
It is our go-to spot when we want casual dining with our out of town visitors.
Favorites are the chicken dinners (broccoli chicken, sesame chiceen, cashew chicken, lemon chicken). I love that we can order brown rice (for a small upcharge).
We have not eaten on site since 2019 due to COVID and now have a family member who is immunocomprised. However, we have Yen Ching on speed dial in order to enjoy delicious dinners at home.

This restaurant is beautifully decorated with a skylight and fountain in the middle of the main dining room. We eat here whenever we’re on that side of Richmond because the food is so delicious! The crisp honey shrimp is my favorite not just because of the sauce and texture but because the shrimp are so large and sweet. My friend had the chow mein which she usually does because it’s so good. Bar drinks are good and reasonably priced. The pork egg rolls are excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient.

One of they best places to get Chinese food, it is so so good and great service .one of that things I absolutely love about this place is when you dine it they have a very beautiful fountain in the middle of the restaurant

Our favorite restaurant in Richmond. Great service, amazing food, perfect quiet atmosphere. And what about that fountain!!! We started coming here over 30 years ago and my grandfather even had a favorite table.🍜💜🥡

We decided to try this place because of the good reviews I saw on FB food group I'm part of. It did not disappoint! The service was outstanding. Everyone was really friendly and our waitress was prompt and attentive. The food was very good. I had the Happy Family and my boyfriend had The Crown of the Sea. Both were delicious. We had dumplings and egg rolls as an appetizer which were also good. My only complaint was we asked for no mushrooms in the dishes and they came out with mushrooms. But that's not enough for me to deduct anything from my rating. We will definitely be going back.
