Kokonut Grill

I got the box option with crispy chicken and liked it! Everything was fresh. They no longer offered the macaroni salad that I wanted, but the rest of the sides were great regardless. The chilled sesame noodles are good side to eat in the summer heat. It didn’t take too long for the food to come out either. Kokonut Grill has also supported many VCU organizations in the past so I appreciate their involvement in the community.

Was in town for work and went here for lunch. Ordered a Mango Milk Tea. Box order with 2 proteins, crispy chicken with spicy garlic and teriyaki shrimp. Three sides fries, rice and noodles. The decorum looks retrofitted for social distancing still which is fine. Food was wonderful. Certainly did not disappoint. Ingredients seem fresh. Serving size was respectable for the price. Milk tea was amazing though. Best I've had so far.

The food here is delicious! Had a kokonut box with crispy chicken, fries, coconut rice, sesame noodles, and sweet and sour slaw. The chicken is crisped up to the right level, and the meat is tender. The sesame noodles do not have an overwhelming sesame flavor, it's actually nice and mild which makes it a good compliment to the rice and slaw. The slaw has a lot of flavor in it and tastes good mixed with any of the other sides or the chicken. Also make sure to get their Spicy KG sauce, it's amazing!

Consistently delicious food! Not to mention the big portions and very friendly staff. Kokonut Grill is truly a hidden gym conveniently located in the heart of Richmond with easy access to the public as well as for VCU students on campus. I am so happy to have found this Asian Fusion eatery that does not have the goal of mimicking the rest, but rather places their focus on serving quality food and service.
