Alchemy Coffee

Maybe kind of a generic college town coffee house, but when the formula works don't change it. I loved the mid 2000s coffee house feel, the solid but delicious beverage options, and the communal tables. What I didn't like was the service, which was slow despite there being not a lot of business. Not gonna say don't go, I'm assuming the barrista was just distracted that day.

Super solid coffee shop in Richmond. I got a flat white and an apple danish. I only tasted a scrap of the danish because my teenager ate it so fast - they said it was excellent and showed me the butter on their fingers from the crust. The flat white wasn’t on the menu, but the barista said he could make it and he made it right. Super friendly guy. The foam was tight and the espresso was strong and smooth. All around would recommend.

Delicious! I was looking for great coffee and atmosphere and this place exceeded my expectations! The service was above exceptional thanks to Brandy, not only was her attitude and energy amazing her recommendations and service was outstanding! I tried their cold drip, espresso, cappuccino and regular coffee, and walked away with a danish yum yum! The cappuccino was my favorite! I came looking for a cup of good coffee, and am leaving feeling the warm & fuzzy happiness after a crazy day/week of work. Yeah… I’m that crazy coffee person ☺️

I am in Richmond from out of town for the next 5 weeks during the week & was looking for a place that had a great latte in a mug with the cute designs(mostly because that’s how I know that the maker has great latte-making skills). This place is GREAT! Really friendly person working/making the drinks. Cute atmosphere. Overall perfect experience! I will for SURE be back!!! Highly recommend!

Subtle jazz music showers this sunny coffee shop on Broad. We were welcomed in with a smile, the register attendant was eager to offer suggestions and explain any menu options. We selected a Dirty Chai and a Lord Bergamond British Brunch tea which came out quickly, the warmed cinnamon bun soon followed, it's interior was flaky, buttery, and the frosting provided a balanced sweetness, simply delectable!

Absolutely delicious pastries, we had one apple and one cheese Danish. My caramel latte was hot and very tasty. I love how the had hot chocolate for my 10 year old daughter. They made the foam on top beautiful! The service was good and they were very knowledgeable about their menu items. I had never been there before so I asked a lot of questions. They happily answered them. I will definitely be visiting again.
