China Star

I have gone to China star several times and the food was pretty good however yesterday I went and ordered their curbside to go and it was the best Chinese food I have possibly ever had!! The portions were great, the service was great and the food was delicious! Not sure if they have a new cook or new recipes but yesterday’s food was outstanding!!

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Richmond and one of the few places that my entire family can agree on. Have been coming here for about 10 years. Staff is wonderful, food is excellent. When the dining room is open you will notice it is mostly Asian folks eating there- the mark of a great Chinese place In my opinion. Lunch specials are such a good value and good size portions. This place is the best.

Great food, and good people here! Authentic and Americanized dishes available. And most dishes can be customized to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Plus, the current policies to protect their patrons are great: contactless payment over the phone and curbside takeout or contactless delivery. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant has always been wonderful, and their health policies during this pandemic have made China Star our favorite. Even though taking our payment over the phone and bringing our food out to our car is more work for them, they gladly provide these services as they reduce the number contact points and protect their customers. China Star’s informed and socially responsible policies should serve as an example to other businesses!

What a pleasant surprise. I always enjoy tasty food, especially authentic Chinese cooking. I have been coming to China Star for over 10 years, and regularly get a carry out order when not dining in. Social distancing is a good thing for people's safety, but it puts a dent in our life style. Since I can’t dine in, I was glad to know that they are still doing carry-out and delivery, and it is still the great quality I’m used to getting. The food was packaged neatly & beautifully. I hope things will return to normal soon so we all can go back to the usual routine. At the same time, for me, it is great to buy the food I always enjoy from the people I trust. They are a small family business. Keeping the food clean and safe is more important than ever. I’ve made 3 carry out orders in the last 3 weeks, and I have more faith in China Star than ever.
