This place is great. You feel as if you are walking into another time zone. Very cozy and beautifully decorated. The open mics are amazing! It is truly a fantastic little gem in a historic part of town. (Foods great too)

Went for the first time tonight to watch my son perform for open mic night. This place was amazing. The owner and everyone was so nice. Food was great and atmosphere was amazing. Definitely going back!

I discovered Nutty Buttery during RVA black restaurant week. What a little pleadant surprise they were!
I attended a poetry slam, they had such a wide variety of artists, a live painter, singers, dancers, rappers, guitarists.. a little bit of everything. I enjoyed watching all of it. They also had an artist selling her paintings (A lil tough of gee) her stuff is really good, go check her out!
The food was reasonably priced and had vegan options! (Yay!) I had a curried chickpea potato & rice dish, and a mango icecream. Both hit the spot!

Funky, quirky, quaint. Enjoyed hamburger and ample serving of golden fries. My grandson had French toast and a milkshake.

excellent food and service! Grilled veggie was superb. Power bowls were delicious and healthy. We came to see friends' performance. The sound was balanced well. The only thing I would suggest is to put in a changing table just in case.

The food is delicious, especially the frittatas. Staff is friendly. They support local artist by hosting intimate shows and events. You can feel the love in the atmosphere.

Was there this past Sunday night with my girlfriend and 2 of our other friends to see a small blues band. We had a great time. The owner and staff are wonderful people, the band was excellent and the whole place has a great vibe. Super friendly and warm atmosphere. Check it out.
