Monchou Patisserie

Found this in yelp and just have to try it. Place is quaint and refreshing with luscious plants. The owner very nice and she is also the baker. You can tell she takes pride with all her pastries. We came back twice in the 2 days we were in town to try almost all her pastries. Love them all , moist not too sweet and decadent. She also have afternoon tea from 2-5. Definitely will be back. The macarooons are to die for. Don’t miss that for sure.

Very aesthetic! The shop is very centrally located. Of street parking, and hard to find. We went on a Saturday night and it was super difficult to find a parking spot, but I guess if you go on the afternoon it may be easier. The shop, although is different and filled with plants could use .......something? to make feel more cozy and welcoming. The pastries were AMAZING! And the guy who served us was very nice. Looks like by the time we got there most of the pastries were gone. We got to try a few. Definitely we will come back to try more.

My first time going here and I purchased a few macaroons (sp?) and the attendant was excellent with explaining what flavors they had available as well as those that were all out. I purchased a few for me and my friends and also purchased some Earl Grey tea with vanilla syrup (highly recommend) for myself to go with it. I am not much for sweets but I will definitely return to try a slice of cake or some other treats. The decor and ambiance is pretty dope too.

The most adorable pastry shop in Richmond! Run by the cutest owner and her husband this place serves french pastries and baked goods such as pistachio, caramel, and black currant macarons. In addition to macarons there's a rotation of different tarts and cakes, and Cannelés de Bordeaux. Theres a wide selection of herbal infused teas and more classic black teas such as Earl Grey, homemade soda and coffee is also available! The atmosphere of the store is idyllic with plants adorning every wall and every corner of the shop. It's a very cute place with an iconic neon sign and a quiet patisserie shop vibe to it :)
