Papa Johns Pizza

I ordered a couple of pizzas and a soda on the app which told me the food would get to me in about an hour. Shortly after I received a call letting me know that the delivery time would take longer than usual due to lack of delivery drivers. The manager Toni told me she’d give me a 25% discount if I was able to pick it up as an option. She was pleasant and apologized for the inconvenience multiple times. Things happen and I appreciate the transparency of the locations current situation.

Oh my...where do I start? Well, I walk up to the door and it is held open for me by a friendly delivery driver making his way back in. As he makes his way back and I, to stand in line, I (possibly we) were welcomed very warmly, by pretty much the whole kitchen. "Welcome back!" I smiled. Not only did I feel at home, within SECONDS of walking in, but it truly felt genuine. You see, Papa Johns pizza has always been so good to me where, when it's prepared right, it fills me with the warm and fuzzies that only coming home brings, so when I was greeted again by the cashier with the best customer service I've probably had ALL 2017, I nearly lost it! I am then handed my order (The 7-7-7) and not only, (after my own tardiness), were my pizzas still very warm but REGARDLESS, they were f*****' immaculate! 😱 Wth?! Who does that?? 👀 Papa Johns on Forest Hill Ave, in RVA does that, that's who! Needless to say, whoever is running that night shift needs to stand up and take yourself a well earned bow for successfully leading such a strong and united team; and ultimately for the pleasure of your new AND regular guests! Also, if you guys actually do greet your drivers' the same way, I would be no more good...and for real this time. I'm a firm believer in collective team encouragement (not just managerial) because it makes us ALL want to come in and win and I like to think that in a world where, likely, motor accidents are the leading cause of death, we would all find the time to welcome back our brothers and sisters who risk their lives every second they're in the car to deliver us a hot pizza, in a timely fashion.
