Four Sisters

Four sisters is THE place to both begin and refine your tea journey. Melody's storefront has a charming small-town feel enriched by her experiences around the world and the various teas' origins. And if you think you don't like tea, Melody will gladly teach you how to appreciate the art and science through classes and tastings! Her soaps and other local products reflect Four Sisters' deep community roots. Be sure to try the latte of the week and get a thirsty Thursday deal! An especially excellent day to visit is on the 3rd Thursday of any month- the local stores on 3rd street host friendly festivities!

I have come on various occasions with different groups and since right before COVID, things have gotten progressively worse. There never seems to be a steady person working there anymore. Every time I go and ask about a friendly employee, they no longer work there. I am starting to think that maybe this is not a great place to work if they can't keep a steady person. My teas are watery and lacking the full strength of tea flavor and color because they are pouring too quickly. My lattes taste like creamer. I was in one day last month and overheard a conversation that the person working was 10yrs old! I do not know how that can even be legal with an establishment that sells alcohol. The floor was gross and sticky and the drink station has spills everywhere. If the main area looks like that, I don't even want to know what their kitchen looks like! YIKES. I used to love Four Sisters but it just appears that someone does not care anymore and that is disheartening.

Four Sisters is one of my favorite eateries in all of Madison County and keeps me coming back to Richmond again and again. The breakfast is amazing with high quality, farm fresh ingredients, and the sandwiches, salads and HUGE selection of teas offer something for everyone. Also for those who are gluten free, dairy free or other allergens, Melodie offers excellent alternatives and the best gluten-free breads that never makes me feel like I'm missing out. Excellent service and great place to shop too with lotions, candles, soaps and homemade gifts.

The tea is fantastic, and a good price. I'll definitely get more tea from them, absolutely. We also ordered a dessert sampler but it was downright disappointing. One petit four, one truffle size cheesecake bite, and one brownie bite with hard icing on it, for $6. We ordered right after they opened but the crunchy icing/hard brownie leads me to believe it was from the previous day. The listing made it sound like there would be more than one, so for the price, size, and staleness I won't be getting any more sweets :(

Absolutely wonderful!! Quaint and beautiful dining room with an abundant menu. Was really quite surprised with the variety. I had the Mediterranean sandwich... I’m a sandwich guy through and through and I have to say, this was top notch! I would definitely recommend checking this place out. They also have a wonderful variety of handmade soaps and all natural products that lends a very distinct and relaxing aroma to the shop! Must stop!
