The London Tavern

We have driven past this pub before but didn't get a chance to go in. We were looking for a sunday lunch spot whilst on holiday and the reviews seemed good. Wow, we were blown away! Love the atmosphere and the pub aesthetic. Staff were lovely and the food....wow! Roast pork and chicken were amazing, everything was delicious. Also, a little random, the gravy was magnificent. Some pubs serve gravy water with their roasts but it was rich and delicious. Our 4 year old needed to bale so no dessert but we are so impressed we will try to come back later in the week to try out the weekday menu.

Wow. Could just leave it there with wow to be honest! What a meal! My partner and I were originally planning to go to a differnt pub a litrle while away, but thank God we didn't! The London Tavern was amazing. The second we walked in I fell in love. Wonderful atmosphere lovely staff, great drinks selection and nice hapoy locals. Walking in a hearing laughter and feeling warm is an instant winner. Ontop of that a wonderful covered garden with lights and heaters. Top notch! Onto the food... Just to start, the waitress kinda laughed when I ordered all our food... And it was a challenge to finish the massive portions hahaha but it was heaven in every mouth full from start to finish. Halloumi fried and squid rings to start, soft, tender, crispy on the outside and piping hot in the middle. Absolute magic! We were recommended to go for the Rubs by a lovely local and his pup Luna, my word, was thw size of half a pig, succulent smokey, loads of bbq sauce. Just wonderful! And real challenge to finish but we battled through! Dessert... If you don't have the sticky toffee pudding and almost cry at every bite how good it is... Then you're dead inside! Indulgent doesn't even begin to cover it. We left with lighter wallets and stomachs so full I don't need to eat for a week. Again I'm so so happy our first choice let us down as this place really made our little trip away. Real hidden gem. To all the staff how we saw on our trip, you are a true credit to your team and to the hospitality industry! Keep those smiles and magic personalities! You guy and your venue are amazing! Love it!!! 😍

Had a lovely meal there today with my daughter. To say the least I’ll definitely be going back again. The food was fantastic, I had the ribs and my daughter had the chicken burger the quality was fantastic, non of this thin stuff it was proper food and plenty of it. The ribs were out of this world I’ve yet to find and taste ribs like it. And the chicken burger not a thin slab of chicken but a proper wedge of chicken with chips that were awesome. Staff we’re very friendly and the whole place has a good vibe about it.

Review 2021: Still an absolute lovely place! Popped in again today and enjoyed the weather in the pub garden! The chicken katsu curry was delicious with rice 😋. I hope to back again soon! 😊 Still championing on trip advisor 🎉 Review from 2019: Absolutely lovely! Great sausage and mash! Recommend the brownie for dessert! Lovely staff who were very helpful, phoned ahead after a long journey back from Falmouth and they were able to accommodate to us turning up at 7 on a Sunday, lovely atmosphere with a band playing and meat raffle! Thank you guys! 😊
