One of the best new restaurants to hit Roanoke in a while! Both dishes we had were incredibly tasty and well seasoned, the biscuits were cooked just right with a slight crisp, and the chicken was super juicy. The homemade jam and butter bar was a nice touch too as the biscuits are huge and this was a great way to finish off what’s on the plate. Can’t wait to go back!

We were not impressed overall. As others have said, the food is mediocre. Wait time wasn’t very long and the restaurant was mostly empty (11:30 am Saturday).
The decor is the best part of the experience. It has a very retro vibe with bold, bright colors and hip furniture.
My “Boogie On” was decent other than the over easy egg being cooked over hard. My wife’s “Boss” was terrible. The sausage had no flavor and the texture was rubbery. The egg was also cooked too long.
They ran out of bananas (told after we placed the order), so we switched the “Crazy Monkey” parfait to a “Cinnamon Raisin Biscuit” — which had entirely too much filling on a dry/stale biscuit.
As mentioned before, not the worst experience we’ve had, but there was a lot left to be desired. We will most likely not return.

I’ve passed this place over a few times because I wasn’t sure about the variety or even the atmosphere, but gave it a try for brunch. Wow. I’ve been to some incredible brunch places in many different cities and this is perhaps my very favorite. The menu is slightly confusing with different stacks available at different times for some reason, but after that was cleared the food was so delicious. I had the Southern man; like a southern Benedict on a biscuit. My son had the Carolina Shake; a tasty pulled pork and pimento cheese biscuit. The flavor is superb. Fresh and tasty. I highly recommend trying them!

We tried out the "Jimmy Mac" (meatloaf mac and cheese sandwich) and the "Boogie On" (brisket, egg and onion rings sandwich on a jalapeno biscuit). The food was good but not great. The bottom of the Jalapeno biscuit was so hard I couldn't cut through it. The mac and cheese was fried into a brick and the outer shell was too tough to eat but good on the inside. The meatloaf was a thin party like a hamburger from McDonald's. The portions were too big. Wish they had smaller options about half the size. And, I really hope they hire some more energetic and happier employees or this place won't last. We will give them one more try but for the price $12-$17/ sandwich I wasn't terribly impressed. I was looking forward to this place opening and really wanted to love it....maybe my expectations were too high??

Overall ok. I'm not a fan of what seems to be frozen potatoes but the bacon and eggs we ok. The biscuits we were good and the butter bar is something I've never seen before. I tried cinnamon raisin butter and it was good. My son had the tres leches pancake with candied bacon. He was not a fan of the bacon but said the pancakes were amazing. My husband had the Carolina Shake. It was good but mostly biscuit not filled very much. We had to clean our own table but atmosphere is trendy decor is so cute.

Overall a decent experience. The line was slowing moving and the food took a little bit to get out to us. But it was fresh and had a good taste. Overall a good brunch spot.

First time guest here. Food was amazing! Staff was top flight! We had a skillet(Border Mac) and a stack of pancakes. Both were noteworthy and would recommend again! This place is going to be getting many return visits from us!
Bonus: they have a flavored butter bar! Twenty plus types to choose!

We went for the first time today, and it's a pretty cool little place. Eclectic, colorful decorations. You order at the counter then pick a seat. They have tables, booths, high top tables along the windows, and a patio. I don't know why people are complaining about the prices. Everything is under $10 (see photos of menu). You don't get sides, but with their portions you don't need one (4" dia. biscuits). If you do get a side, split it with the table. They have a couple local drafts on tap (Thur. half price pints) plus bloody marys (using Zing Zang as everyone should) and mimosas. They also have a nitro cold brew coffee which I definitely recommend trying.
To go along with your order, they have a house-made jam and butter bar plus a bunch of different hot sauces. I got The Boss. I wouldn't say outstanding (4 stars not 5) but it's good. Wife got the Endless Love. Wasn't 100% sold on the potato cake, but they have some good fried chicken. Kids got biscuits and loved them. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Don't trust the 1 star reviews. It certainly deserves a try. We'll definitely be back.
