Amis Mill Eatery

$+ Reasonably priced, excellent service, fantastic food and extraordinary view. This little out of the way eatery is a must do when you are in or around Rogersville in eastern Tennessee. It comes with an amazing history and is the centerpiece of a small revolutionary war era city. Absolutely MUST experience this place! If this review is helpful to you, please give me a thumbs up.

I'd give it a 4.5 stars if the option was available. It has beautiful surroundings overlooking the dam, friendly staff, and pretty good food. The only thing is I prefer the okra to be a little more golden and the broccoli was drained more. It was cooked perfectly, it was just a little wet. The rest was delicious. I will add that the smothered chicken also includes mushrooms.... I just don't care for them so I ordered the food without them. It has a couple indoor tables, several covered outdoor tables, and also some that were uncovered. It was cute that they had it seasonally decorated as well.

My husband and I ended up here by chance while out for a Sunday drive, and it was the BEST surprise! Some of the most delicious food we have ever eaten, well priced, and friendly service. We shared the crawtails and bread, I had the Sicilian spaghetti along with a spring salad, and he had the smothered chicken. Beautiful atmosphere and a cool nostalgic vibe. We Will definitely be back!

Our 1st time eating there....there's not enough stars to rate this place!! Very relaxing to eat outside with a waterfall nearby. The food was prepared fresh and all homemade. The service was the absolute best we've ever had!!!! We had a cute little girl named jessie james that treated us like family! First time trying fresh hand picked spearmint in our sweet tea and omg!!! It was delicious!! She even picked us some spearmint and sent home with us.

The food and service were fantastic!!! Chicken parm, smoked BBQ chicken, sirloin special w/garlic butter were all incredible. In town to visit a friend for one night and we had dinner here. Seeing the damn was really neat and it privided a great backdrop for our dining experience. I loved the charm of this historic building. Can't wait to come back and eat here again!!
