Shef's Kitchen

The decor is nostalgic, signage from an era long forgotten. The staff was very courteous as well as prompt. The food was very good. The reason for the 3 Star rating, is due solely for the fact that the carpet, in at least 1 of the larger dinning areas can only be described as being in a movie theater at the last showing of the night & your feet are sticking to the floor due to all the spilled soda on the floor. The carpet feels so bad, at 1 time I actually needed to grab my leg & lift it, as I was so stuck to the floor. At 1st, I thought it was me, but other members of the party I was with noticed the same as me.

I haven't had a bad meal here yet. I do wish that their salad bar will be reopened soon. I also wish that they would let you have more than one trip to it. I think they want around $4 for one trip and that is a little stingy considering that most restaurant's in the area don't limit you to one trip. Otherwise, they are the best restaurant in the small town of Rogersville.

The steak was great, and their prices were reasonable. I haven't tried anything else yet, but I seen people enjoying other items from the menu. The decor set a great atmosphere, and the staff seemed friendly. They had large paper sheets over the tables, with crayons for kids to draw while you wait for food. 5/5, would come again soon!

My wife and I had dinner on March 13, the resturant is well appointed with interesting decor. Kaitlin was our waitress and could not have been any nicer or more attentive to us. The price was very reasonable I had grilled shrimp and my wife had the rib eye but the hush puppies were rubbery and not what I was expecting. I could not give 5 stars because there were many bugs alive and dead in the men's room. I do recommend Shef's and would eat there again.
