Applebee's

We went to Applebee's for the 4th time in 2 months. Every other Tuesday for our date nite. The previous visits were great but this time was just plain bad. 22 bucks for a burnt steak, that I asked for medium. Almost impossible to chew. Out of mashed potatoes at 630. Had to ask twice for a drink refill. Had to ask for silverware. The waitress kept apologizing to all her tables. Heard her tell the table next to us her manager gave a discount because of the mixup. To me it looks like a lack of leadership for the night. From a waitress that was over whelmed to a cook who was having a bad night.

I had such a good meal here! We got the triple appetizer, tomato basil soup, side salad & half rack ribs. Everything was yummy & the location was convenient to our hotel. Our waitress kept checking on us but wasn't annoying. The rest of the restaurant appeared clean & adhered to Covid safe practices.

Edit-thank you to Applebees for reaching out about the issue. I’ll update my review after my next visit This visit was pretty bad from the time we walked in to when we left it. There was only 10 other people in the place for the first hour when we were there and it took about 15 min to get our apps. We were told there was only one person cooking. The drink glasses may have been clean but they’re permanently covered in so many water spots and other markings that make them feel and look dirty. And we’re asked to hold our straws while they get a refill…My mac n cheese was basically noodles drowning in a bowl of liquid cheese that had little flavor. I was thankful for the bacon. My sandwich was so toasted that I had to remove the crusts because it was rock hard and I couldn’t bite through it. My husbands burger was supposed to be pink and no tomato but came well done, dry and with tomato. I personally don’t like when waitresses take orders without an order pad as often times things are messed up. I sat there eating for almost 10 minutes while they made a new burger for my husband. The new one was cooked perfectly but was dripping with grease so bad it was running down his hands. And suddenly after she brought the new burger over she started calling us “babe”? The hosts also weren’t very smiley/welcoming. Next time for a $60 meal I’ll go somewhere better. Our $11 McDonald’s meal the day before was much better.

Was an alright experience. The bathroom was dirty. That was my only complaint. My server was very nice and very on top of her table. Kept the refills coming. Asking if we needed anything. Food was good. Offered dessert as well. It was good for a lil dinner out of town. We went because it was close to the hotel. But food and service was fast.

The food is delicious. I had a blackened Cajun salmon and a chicken spinach Alfredo bowl. The service is super slow, the waitress comes by very rare and when I asked for the menu in hopes to get a dessert I never was given one! The table computer was out during the visit, not sure if it would have made things faster if it was working. The silverware also was a bit smudged when I unwrapped it from the napkin.

The food was ok, but they gave me the wrong order. Not the worst, we had a big party, but it took them half an hour to get my food to me and they actually forgot I hadn't gotten my food yet. Whatever, they gave me my food for free. Except when my meal arrived, they forgot my fries... Waiter had to take a call and didn't ask if we needed refills so the manager had to come take care of it. Server was polite, but overall not a great experience.
