Abarca's Taco Pub

I walk in and they asked me if I have a mask. I say no. He offers for me to order outside. I tell him I'd like to dine in. There are other tables with people eating without their masks because well you can't have a mask on your face while you're putting food in your mouth. He says I can't sit down at a table because I don't have a mask. The table is directly behind me with no one in the way. I ask if I can order outside and then sit down at a table to eat the food, like everyone else is doing (eating food without a mask). He says no because the other people walked in with a mask, therefore they are allowed to dine in because they had a mask on and took it off after they sat down. So they refused service.

This place has been at the same location for almost 40 years. When I still lived at home many years ago, I remember trying it because it was a local place. I loved it and am still returning after all these years when I go back home to visit my Dad. The same guy that used to take my order is still there to this day!!!!! The food is always great and this man that runs the Taco Pup is always friendly and accommodating. I would recommend trying it if you are near Rowland Heights.

This is a small independent fast food Mexican place that services restaurant quality food. You order your food at the counter and can take it to go or eart in the small eating area there that has recently been redecorated like a fill Mexican restaurant. The restaurant manager taking orders at the counter has been there over 25 years and is so pleasant and makes everyone feel like they are a VIP customer. Prices are reasonable. My husband loves the Jumbo burrito (about 10.95). He gets it wet with carnitas. It is huge and has tons of meat. I get the seafood enchilada plate from the $7.95 specials posted in the window. It is one nice size enchilada with beans, rice, a SMALL salad, and a small amount of chips with sauce on them. It is a great meal at a great price. There are also other special options both for breakfast and lunch.
