Chando's Cantina

I’m pissed !!! my favorite Mexican restaurant is closed down smh they closed the wrong location they should’ve closed down the little one on Arden. This location’s food , drinks, service , and atmosphere is excellent. I use to come here every Tuesday faithfully. Now I gotta find a new taco Tuesday spot smh I’m sad .. Hands down there is no other chandos location better than this one on 15th street downtown sacramento. Ima miss eating here

This was my first time at this location even though I have been to the other Chandos taco locations many times. I went for lunch and it was everything I wanted it to be. Delicious tacos, I got three different kinds, chips and salsa at the table and very attentive staff. It is exactly what it says, Chandos tacos, but in an upscale restaurant environment. There were so many different flavors and cooking styles. There are meat, fish and veggies options. They also have more than just tacos. Lots of options for everyone. I am looking forward to coming back to try more of the flavor combinations.

Great place to hang out. We had our group lunch and it was great. Lunch menu prices are reasonable. Did ask them to remove the bean and add rice instead but when bill comes, they charge extra for rice. Be good they mentioned extra charge during the taking orders. Beside that every thing is great 👍

Three of us decided we wanted to check it out after seeing a friend's picture of her visit. We loved it, enjoying margaritas, the chips and guacamole, and our main entrees. I got the adobada quesadilla and they got the birria tacos & consome. All were delicious and filling, with a good portion in each order. The service was fantastic and attentive from start to finish. A great night of drinks, laughter and good food - definitely recommend.

Arrived at this location around 8pm on a Saturday night and there were hardly any people here. They do ID at the door so be prepared. We were seated at a four top table and then the bartender came and asked us to move and offered us a shot if we moved to the bar. We assumed the shot was free since she said if you move, I’ll get you a shot but we were actually charged for it. The drinks were pretty good, the blackberry margarita would be my first choice followed by the strawberry and then watermelon. We order chips and salsa/guac as an app and I do wish they would bring out more chips without charging but the guac was delicious! The nachos were amazing and had all the best toppings (pico, guac, sour cream, cheese and choice of meat). We would definitely try this place again if we were in the area but probably won’t make a special trip there again.

The key to enjoying the food here is coming when they are not busy, and believe me, they get busy (especially in the late evening and night). I truly enjoy this place because most of their menu items are plays on Mexican street foods and they also have really good vegetarian options. One of my favorites is the veggie pambazo and veggie mulitas. It's something different than traditional Mexican restaurants, so a must visit!

We had our son’s and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner in the back patio. I cannot say enough about Mario and the kitchen staff, servers and bartenders. They were the easiest to deal with and they anticipated all our needs! Very professional! It was absolutely amazing, beautiful fiesta. The food was second to none. We ordered the homemade churros for dessert and they were fresh and warm. IF you are looking for a place to have a celebration, please look no further. They also allowed us to decorate a few hours before. We were able to hang paper pompoms and unlighted white paper lanterns. The do have the party lights already in place.

Their two Cantina locations (one Downtown and one in El Dorado Hills) are full service restaurants with a full bar, a giant fun patio in the back, and a concert hall which features live music, such as banda & mariachi, throughout the week.⁠ I ordered the Chando's Chicken Burrito with jack cheese, fresh cilantro, diced onions, creamy guacamole, lettuce, fresh pico-de-gallo, sour cream, and tangy salsa expertly wrapped and rolled into a monster flour tortilla.⁠
