Wayside Noodles

Veg-friendly Vietnamese with Friendly, Fast Service My husband and I went to Wayside Noodles on Saturday after arriving in Sacramento in the early afternoon. The restaurant had just one other table occupied with two people sitting there. We were promptly greeted and invited to take a seat wherever we liked. We were given water quickly (it was really hot out!) and menus. After a few minutes they server asked if we were ready and we finalized our selections. I ordered the Chicken Crunch Salad but replaced the chicken with tofu and the Spring Rolls with tofu to share. My husband ordered a curry-type dish (not sure what it was called) and then our server was off. Being vegans, we inquired about whether or not the dishes had any dairy or eggs. After a few minutes ,the server came back and told us that they couldn't make the curry vegan, the coconut milk somehow had dairy in it. My husband was given a menu again and he tried ordering again. He tried to order a few more items before settling on what he actually ended up eating, the Drunken Noodle. Overall, the food was tasty, enjoyable and fairly priced. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and friendly. In a pinch, I'd eat here again. The tofu is bland but their sauces have flavor.
