Barwest Midtown

Stopped in for some lunch while taking my dog to the park. It was during the day at the start of the week so the place was pretty empty. I split the pulled pork sliders and a Cesar Salad with my husband. We thought the food was great. Our dog was able to sit at the bar with us since the garage doors were open. My husband was a fan of “the wall” to see replays from sports for the week. The bartender was very nice. We chatted with another couple that sat down and they said they loved their food too. Can’t remember what they were eating. I asked my friend (who is a local) if he had ever been there and he said he had a few times to watch some games and while it had gotten busy sometimes he has never had a bad experience. Prices were comparable with other establishments we have been too.

I was impressed with the remodel since the last time I was here. The bar is really nice. The while place seems to have really opened up and the vibe is super cool! No happy hour here but heard about tequila Tuesdays!!! All tequila is half priced. So I ordered some wings lemon pepper cause that's my favorite and I like them to be crispy so... well done. They were ok...a little too much seasoning so I was happy to have the ranch to help cut the salt. Was very disappointed in the celery and carrots. It would have been better to leave it off the plate. My husband ordered the sliders and those were excellent!!! Had a few beers and enjoyed the big projector screen... so huge and clear. So all in all I'd come back and try again. The atmosphere is awesome and the people working were super sweet! 4 stars only because the various and celery and no happy hour.

"THE" BEST (breaded) WINGS & (beer-battered) fries I've had since moving to Sac (from the East Coast)!! Great customer service - Emily, you're on point! I love the Barwest Punch & Weekend Warrior drinks 😋😉 The deep fried pickles are a little too salty for me but the angus cheeseburger with bacon & mushrooms on sourdough was excellent 😋❤😋 Kool place to watch the games, hang out & grab a few beers/drinks/appetizers 😉😊

Both food and drinks are great here. Even though we came during NBA finals(packed house) we were able to get seating and service quickly. Also learned that they have an up stairs that is available to be rented for big parties/events. Also DJ dancing up there on certain nights. Look forward to coming back.

I came here on a Tuesday afternoon at lunch time and there were barely any other people in there, but you can tell that it is a place that is probably very popular during the evenings and on the weekends. I came with my husband and two sons, as we had come across this place via Groupon. We were very impressed!!! The service was excellent, the drinks were excellent (we both had a Belgian stout), the atmosphere is nice for a sports bar, and the food was amazing. I ordered the Western and my husband ordered the pretzel burger - neither one disappointed. We were both so full and the burgers were so big that we needed a carry out box. Even our boys (6yrs and 1yr) loved the food. Will definitely be back!
