Located on the original street level of Sacramento from the 1800s, this basement bar and grill has amazing drinks and food. The patio area is very comfortable. The BEST thing about this place is they would book amazing EDM, Techno and Dance music DJs. No matter who owns it, that has always been the reason for going there. I hope it contributes to provide a venue for Electronic Dance Music and that community.

This is a very cool restaurant and bar in old Town Sacramento located in a historic building. You walk down into the front door and through the bar and restaurant to the back of the building there's a really cool outdoor area where you can eat and smoke and sit by a cool fountain and string lights. The host and bartender were very friendly and my friend and I had a cool chat with him about how much fun it is there on St Patrick's day. Apparently the local firemen work out of there so come down on saint Patty's day and check out all the cute fireman!

IF I CAN GIVE THIS PLACE 10 stars I WOULD! Let me just start by saying, this place is a hidden GEM. My boyfriend and I were visiting from Canada, and happened to stumble upon this beauty one night for dinner. We are vegans, and they offered many vegan options and choices to choose from. We went on Halloween night where everyone was dressed up, and it was a great atmosphere! Miss Piggy, the bartender was taking care of us at the bar, and she was the best! The fellow with the green hair is also super friendly and sweet! I ended up misplacing my wallet here, and they even called a day or two after, saying they would hold it for me until I was back in the area to pick it up. SUPER trustworthy and kind. I was worried because I had a large sum of money and personal belongings in my wallet, (especially travelling overseas) and I was very grateful all of it was remaining when they returned it to me. I even tried reimbursing them as a thank you, but they refused and wished me well along my travels. Talk about honest people! I hope this business thrives and is around for a long time! When I'm back in Sacramento, I will be returning with a smile on my face! I cannot thank this business enough. Until next time! xo.

The food is great and the beer is greater! I really, enjoyed this place. It's in a historic Old Sacramento walk out style basement with a street level large airy patio out back! There are 16 authentic direct from Germany beers on tap amd more in bottles. It's not your grandpas oompah band German restaurant, it's, more like a German bar you'd go to if you lived in Germany. Super cool, and I'll go everytime I'm in Old Sac.

Great food, excellent service, I was only going to give it 4 stars because you can't get rahmschnitzel at lunch, but I'll have to come back for dinner and see if it's worth the wait. My girlfriend had the schnitzel sandwich and loved it. I had the Frikedelle sandwich, which was interesting and delicious. Highly recommended. I'll be back.
