This place should be on everyone’s list of must visit food stops while in Sacramento! A perfect mix of farm to fork and soul food, no matter what I’ve ordered I have left happy and full. Thank you for the consistent quality, top notch service, and great beer selection. Long time customer who came to leave a well deserved review. Thanks!

I just moved back to Sacramento after 14 years overseas. In preparation for my return I searched around on Google Maps and starred the restaurants I wanted to visit. After settling into my new apartment in midtown, this was the first restaurant I tried. I had 2 carnitas and 1 pastor street tacos and a cup of rice and beans smothered in a gravy-like pork sauce. Danny (from the photo) recommended some great guacamole sauce to accompany the tacos. Combined, it was a fantastic meal - heaven on earth! There is a reason this was the first restaurant I visited…and I’ll be back again soon. Please note the restaurant often closes early…so plan ahead.

I decided to check this place out to get some good Mexican food in Sacramento. This place is a hit! I think it’s where locals go and they’re correct about this place! The food was super fresh and delicious. I’ve never had that fresh of salsa ever! I highly recommend this place if you want tacos and burritos!

I thoroughly enjoyed the carne asada downtown burrito. Add guacamole to mine which was great. A bit pricy at $18 (with the $2 guacamole addition) but it did come with a handful of chips and salsa. Burrito hit the spot and I would return. Little hot, but the shaded seating was a nice reprieve from the sun. Window service was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch while out walking our dog after driving by many times. Great service, delicious margaritas, and amazing food. We had street tacos and carne asada fries. Everything was super tasty. And they were kind enough to give us a water dish for our dog. Will be back for sure!

As others have said I have been driving past this place for a long time. I was getting service done at Midas and asked the service writer about Jalisco.. he said they have the BEST burgers he has ever had. The young lady at the counter was great and I asked here "If you were to be famous for a dish what would it be?" She answered the street tacos so I ordered 4 along with a drink and some chips with guac. It was a lot of food but oh my I dusted it ALL. I cannot imagine how good the burger is - so I'll be back to try one for sure!!

This place is special. Burritos and burgers make this more than just a taco place, but both menu items could be headliners here. The scenery and location might not be ideal, but the quality of the food has been making folks stop here since 1974. This is a major win scenario for foodies that like authenticity. They have a full bar and a friendly staff in a neighborhood that is on the rise. They even take requests and create new menu items on the spot!
