Love supporting local. Fun place to visit, they have fun seating options, games available and patio if desired. Bagels, seasonal drinks and tasty savory treats are appreciated. For my very first time I was a bit thrown off when going from a side door towards the register only to realize I was standing behind another couple who were kindly trying to figure out how we were all supposed to be in line that was quickly getting long towards the front entrance. That’s an understandable mistake for the first timers. Once at the register I slightly felt rushed because there was so much to take in( thanks for patience to all behind ). I got a tasty black tea and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I’ll have to come back to try more goodies.

Great latte. Let’s talk pastries: Lots of places serve pastries, usually baked hours ago before you show up. And lots of places have a turkey and cheese croissant. And a few places will even warm it up for you. (Etorre’s will direct you to their microwave.) But Barrio has fresh baked croissants—some just out of the oven—and they offer a stupendous Turkey, Cheese, and APRICOT croissant topped with mixed seeds and warmed up in their oven and delivered to your table. Come on! You gotta come check this place out. Clean bathroom too.

This is mostly a daytime place, but they are open some evenings for events like the Wednesday open mic, which I have attended often. It is a very lively and fun event! The open mic host, Roberto, is very friendly and accommodating. In the evenings they only have a few food items, such as empanadas. They are very good. Their beer and wine selection is pretty limited, especially on the wine, they are often out of all but one red wine which is $20 a glass. I hope they can rectify their wine situation soon!

edit: staff are just not happy people and seem annoyed to be working. Food is delicious, but I didn't spend 15 minutes waiting in line and $10 on a breakfast sandwich that had only tomato heels on it. . Great hole in the wall place! Coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries are on point!! 4 stars on service because some staff don't thank you for coming in...if I'm spending 9 bucks for a Croissant with an egg on it and driving across town for it (when gas is $6.70 a gallon) I think a 'thank you' is appropriate. Barrio sandwich is so good!!

I’ve been going to barrios for about a year now and I’ll say its definitely worth a try. It’s very hit or miss. Some days they serve delicious coffees and breakfast treats, and some days they just don’t. Recently I went with my friends and we got food and drinks, it was amazing! Carmelita with oat milk is my go too, it’s creamy and sweet. Catch them on a good day and you won’t be sorry! Definitely worth a visit (or two)
