Waffles Corner

Hands down, the best pancakes ever. I tried this place for the first time yesterday. Wife had the blueberry pancakes. I had chicken fried steak with pancakes. The pancakes were dense, moist, and the syrup blended right in with them. They weren't bready or spongy like most places make them. Wonderful. I live in Placerville. I will drive back down here for them. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and kept the drinks full. She was very good. The clientele were a bunch of old smartasses, and they brought you onto their conversation. My type of place. Definitely going back there. And the prices, about 20% less than normal these days.

Chicken and Waffle House stands alone on busy Arden Way. New owners as of January 2023 have freshened the interior, and given a fresh coat of paint to the exterior. This is a large restaurant currently only partially used and so has room to grow. The recent interior upgrades support their extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. Portions and prices are decent. Flavored coffees and lemonades are available with additional new food items being added. They are planning to stay open later for dinner service on the future.

This place is truly a hidden gem. We tried one day on a whim. Since then, we come at least once a month. Wait staff are phenomenal the food is great. The chicken fried steak is my go to, though i have tried many items and liked them all . One of the better chicken fried steaks in the Sacramento region. The hash browns are some of the best I have ever had. The family usually orders more of them after we have finished breakfast.

Wow what a cute little waffle house. We ordered Chicken with waffles with eggs and hashbrowns. It was awesome. Eggs over medium were perfect. Hashbrowns crispy it was delicious. The waitress Trish was so nice and very helpful she made sure out little gut had things to keep him busy. Cute place and good food.

Being from the south, I am very particular about my fried chicken. I've been around the Sacramento region trying to find good FC, and I've found the ones I've eaten to be lacking. Not here! Although if they added a little more pepper it would qualify as true southern style, but as is it's very, very tasty. The "crust", as we called it where I'm from, is soooooo good. At my age I generally don't eat chicken skin, but this crust can be separated from the skin. And I have to admit, I ate most of my crust. Come to the Chicken & Waffles House, if you love fried chicken, you'll love this place. Oh, and even though the coffee is standard cafe brand, they do brew it good and strong.
