The Diplomat Steakhouse

We decided on this restaurant impromptu for dinner and what a great decision it was. The service is amazing, and the restaurant is beautiful! The food, while pricey, was amazing. I had the filet steak and the meat was divine. The steak was also cooked to perfection. The Chef de Cuisine came to our table to inquire about our satisfaction with the food, which made us feel appreciated. Again, pricey, but so worth it!!!

Brett was our server and bar tender and his service was above and beyond. We came here especially for the Tomahawk steaks and I can say that they definitely delivered! These steaks were awesome. They were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. We also ordered the chicken and pork chops which were huge portions and tasted soooo delicious! He can also me a great drink forsure 😉 Overall we had a awesome experience at the restaurant and definitely will be coming back again! We were lucky enough to schedule a reservation on a night that wasnt very busy during our first day visiting Sacramento. The food was phenomenal and we had the entire back room to ourselves (the decor was lovely as well!)! Steaks were well prepared with good trimming and the duck and risotto plate was well executed with great flavor pairings. The drink we ordered was prepared a bit too strong, but overall I have only praise for this little location.

The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent, the food exquisitely plated and delicious to the palate. I was dodded upon by my server Damon and the gracious host Brittany Damon saw to my every need and Brittany checked on me occasionally. Photography was being conducted on new entree's for which Were nicely presented. This was my first visit to the Diplomat Steakhouse and by far not my last. Alan Bernikoff, Sonora, CA
