Ground Round

We had a large family group (all masked up!) that required 3 waitresses. They did a wonderful job taking care of our family after the funeral of a beloved family member. They worked hard to get orders, keep drinks filled, & deliver food while it was still hot. Thank you so much! Food was excellent. I had the chicken bacon macaroni & cheese (yummy plateful of gooey goodness!). My wife had the beef burrito & said it was good although a bit spicy. Both plates had more than we could eat. My salad was fresh, crisp, and had a nice mix of vegetables. Good food. Great service especially for such a large group!

Ground Round has a very friendly staff, nice seating atmosphere, and the menu items are visually appealing, however...the food quality is not very impressive at all. I have made 2 visits here over the last month - over lunch break, ordered bone-in wings 1st visit, bone-out wings, and the pretzel sticks w/cheese on 2nd visit. The pretzels and wings (both times) were over-cooked! The pretzel beer cheese was unique and tasty though. The bleu cheese (I was served) with the wings was a different brand/quality on both my visits as well. The second visit (today) it was much better! I'm not particularly upset with the overall dining experience; just disappointed that a nice restaurant with such a courteous staff, could fail so badly on food quality when visually it looks so delicious.

Not even worth 1 star rating. They are over priced and their ribeyes suck big time. We ordered 2 ribeyes 1 rare and 1 med rare. One was really dry and soggy in spots like it was bad meat. Had burnt spot from whatever they cooked on. Really sad place to eat. It's been around 49 yrs and it was the first time and last time I've been there. Really disappointed beens it was my wife birthday dinner.
