Tried this place today wile downtown having lunch. This is a cute cupcake/candy store. Its clean, cute, colorful and "trendy". Im not a big frosting fan so with that said, I took a partner in crime with me. We tried four cupcakes at our visit.....$13! Simoa cupcake was moist and good dark chocolate cake flavor, frosting was a lot but light for frosting. Gayles cupcake was a chocolate with vanilla frosting.... That sums it up. Buttermilk cupcake is like a vanilla cake. The cake is a little dry on that one. Butter toffee was the one we most liked. It was a good, moist, angel food sort of cross, cupcake with light frosting and topped with toffee bits...nice. All cupcakes are attractive and not overly complicated in design. A little trendy for a cupcake shop and i was a little disappointed with plainness in flavors.

I’ve never been in this bakery an was extremely excited to go since I’ve heard how amazing the treats are! The store is beautiful an extremely clean! Everything is nicely displayed an I love all the colors an classic look, I was however a little disappointed by one of the lady’s that was there, not sure if she’s the owner or not? But was very short with me an short like she wanted me out of the store. Unfortunately how i read other reviews as well. Disappointed since I was wanting to make a big purchase for a party.

I was there yesterday.. the cupcakes are delicious.. but while I was there, a lady walked into the store with her little girl and the owner told her that she was closing for lunch. It was a little after 1pm and I just got a weird feeling about it, since the hours don't say that they close for lunch. The, would be, customer and the child were not white.. and I really hope that didn't play a role in the way they were treated. At the very least, I don't think it's good business to treat a potential customer like that. I won't give my business to anyone who treats people like that. I have read through the reviews and two things are consistent.. her cupcakes are good, but the way she treats people is not. I hope she realizes that she's losing business because of the way she treats people and works toward improving on that.

Sugar Sugar is a gorgeous, charming shop serving delicious cupcakes, macarons, housemade marshmallows, and more. Honestly, we ended up buying way more than we anticipated, the cupcakes were so good: moist and flavorful, with light, bright frosting. I just hate heavy buttercream, and I didn't find it here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I would love to see what they would create for a special occasion cake because everything about this place is so lovingly rendered.
