We didn’t have a wait to be seated but once we sat, we waited a good 30 minutes to place our order. They kept coming back over and telling us it would only be a few more minutes. We were notified about an hour and a half in that half the wait staff walked out because the the treatment conditions. After 2 hours, the manager comes over and tells us they are out of the fish and chips that 4 of us ordered. They bring out the wedge salad which is just a half of a salad head and sprinkled bacon bits and tell us they are out of dressing! They bring out a cup of clam chowder that is ice cold. We got up and told them we’re leaving and they say “don’t worry, we’ll take care of the bill.” The service was terrible. The worst I’ve ever been and the people sitting around us were experiencing the same thing. Long waits for food and when food arrived it was terrible! You couldn’t pay us to come back to this restaurant! Steer clear! We went over to the oyster bar across the way which was phenomenal!!

What a dining delight. Love to concept of small plates or full meals. The spicy feta dip with potato wedges was a yummy pleasant surprise on the menu. The owner George is passionate about using fresh ingredients. You will taste the freshness in the herbs in the Greek shrimp, grape leaves. The desserts r homemade. I will b going back. I would highly recommend Markos. The menu had sometime for everyone. Thank you, George for pouring ur heart into creating mouth watering dishes and a beautiful restaurant.

pros: location and friendly wait staff cons: food could definitely be improved. The chicken skewers were tasty but I was looking forward to some good hummus. It was just lacking kind of flavor it was if they just blended some chick pea's. The drinks were awful. I ordered a Cosmo absolute. I had a Cosmo prior to coming here around the corner but this was not even drinkable and my friend had a Mojito and it tasted like pickle juice and it drinkable and so odd you could not stop tasting it. I am not sure who testing the drinks and food but they need someone with a better palette This place could be really good with improvements. The place was empty while every other restaurant was packed. that should of been a sign.

To be fair we went on a Saturday night in October which is the crazy busy season for Salem however this was absolutely terrible in all ways. They are way understaffed, we saw several other tables leave after 30 minutes without a server. We sat at the bar which was a slightly better choice but it took 20 minutes to get an old fashioned because they could not find the whiskey we asked for. Our order came out completely wrong, then we realized they gave us someone else's food and we walked it over to the other guests. The food was mediocre at best when we finally got part of our order. We ended up cancelling the rest because everyone else finished eating before they brought out one person's meal in our party that they forgot. The fries were cold, the fish and chips a complete rip off. The bathrooms had no soap or toilet paper which is just disgusting. The manager tried to make things better but removing some items on the check but it was just so bad. Even worse was the limited menu they had to cope with the busyness and they still couldn't deliver.
