Olde Salem Bakery

I was so excited to try this bakery. The food looked amazing!! The man in front of me made a comment to the worker asking what was wrong with the salami croissants, they were about 1/3 the size of anything else. She kept dismissing him saying “oh, they just didn’t proof.” I ordered a cream cheese danish (not pictured because it was large and fluffy and amazing) but I also ordered a big fluffy cinnamon roll and almond croissant. What they gave me instead (since you can’t see what they grab to put in your box from the back), were two small (probably 1/2 the size of the ones I saw up front to order), incredibly dense, inedible products. They are hard as a rock and I had to trash both. They both simply “didn’t proof” as the lady would say, but talk about disappointing. If a bakery item “doesn’t proof” it needs to be thrown away! Do not sell shoddy products because of a baker error. This was my first time here and I even mentioned that, so I would think they would put extra effort into making a good first impression. I’m less concerned about their products as I am the approach of “sell everything, no matter the quality” instead of “sell our best.”

I can't remember the last time I walked in to a real restaurant where everyone was so happy to see you and treated you like royal family... that being said... the food makes your taste buds want to dance... I got the poached eggs over salmon on croissant .. kudos to those nice ladies and the owner for hiring them... I loved the experience totally... thank you...👍
