Russell's Restaurant

Our server was amazing and he really did try his best to get people their food. But it took an extremely long time to get our food. Not only that but the older cook with the scraggly long hair (not the guy with the braid) was incredibly rude to our server. He was not communicating when the food was ready, and he didn’t even bother making all the food we had ordered until we were ready to leave after getting half of our food. I ordered The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, and it was EXTREMELY bland. I also noticed the cook touching raw meat and frozen meat, and then not even wearing gloves or bothering to wash his hands and then immediately touching the toast for each entree and placing it on plates. It’s a huge safety hazard for cross contamination. I couldn’t Believe him. He should not be working back there. Arguing with the server constantly, highly unprofessional. Kudos to our server for truly doing his best. Tall young blond guy with earrings, he was awesome.

Food was fine...way too much for one person. Staff were great..asked for crispy hash browns and what I got were okay. Wasn't going to complain about them, but apparently our server had a discussion with the cook and this prompted the manager to take a stab at crispy hash browns. So I ended up with two servings! Thanks for looking out for your customers without being asked. Other then that...the restaurant interior could use some updating.

The food was good. Joni, our waitress was always working. She was hardly ever idle. The other waitresses was hollering across the room to each other gripping about tips. The cashier was away from the desk more than she was there. Thankfully, Joni was there to keep things flowing. We were pretty impressed by her and her attitude about it all.

passing through on a Sunday and stopped at Russell’s. So glad we did!! Best food We’ve had in a long time! I had the Russell’s breakfast, husband had triple decker club and it’s the best he’s ever had- and that’s hard to beat! Oh and the pie!!! People in the waiting area told us it’s worth the wait and they were right!! Will be stopping again next time we are that way!
