Black Bear Diner

This is an amazing place. The service you get is like family. Professional and friendly. Very clean and very original, it's beary 🤣much fun to enjoy a meal here. The menu is extensive and everything I tried was superb. I will go back every time I am in the area. Plenty plaza parking. 🙌👍❤ Kudos, keep it up!

Black bear diner has a full menu, big portions, and serves breakfast all day... which is why I came today- breakfast at 3pm on a Sunday. The workers were kind and polite. My waitress was very helpful and recommended some chili cheese fries instead of loaded fries, which turned out to be the best decision I made all week. Chili cheese fries: chili was flavorful and meaty. Cheese was melted. And ordered a side of sour cream for added flavor. Blackberry filled bearclaw French toast: this was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet but I added warm syrup to satisfy my sweet tooth. The bowl of fruit was also ripe and delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and plated. Overall a great experience that left me happy & full.

Party of 7. My 1st time at this location.Visiting with my family hanging out shopping.We was seated in the backroom which was fine with us away from the crowds upfront. No social distant going on in the front of the resturant. People were sitting elbow to elbow at the counter seating and back to back in the side booths😳😬Utensils were not clean. Had to request for new ones.I ordered a spinach and onion Omelet. Omelet wasn't fully cooked. It look pretty on the plate until I cut it open and their was about 1 table spoon of grease underneath. My sister's steak was well done (dry as a cracker)😂when she specifically requested medium well. Waiter wasn't attentive and didn't properly check on us. Honestly we thought the Black Bear diner in Emeryville was the worst..nahh these two neck to neck. Wassup with these Cooks at these corporate restaurants. What happened to making people food how you would want yours?The service was bad overall. We left feeling like we wasted money 💰. Black Bear need to have their upper, upper management come in undercover and see the quality of food and service ppl receive. Until then, poor mediocre service will continue💯

Love going to most black bear diners but this morning this location was a little on the slower side. From the 15 minute wait to walking up and asking for a box and our receipt. The food was definitely on point and my son absolutely loved the happy bear pancake. I wasn’t starving and settled with oatmeal that was tasty. Will return to this location in the future 🙂

We loved the banana cream pie dessert. It has the right amount of sweetness! However the cleanliness of our table close by the restroom was not what we expected, dirty. A waiter wiped down the table but he left the mess on the seats as well as missed spots. The person seating us was busy with other duties rather than focusing on the customer to be seated. The restroom was another story in itself. As gloomy as it was inside from the lack of lighting, if you choose to use the men’s restroom beware. The standup urinal is directly next to the sit down stall and you can see them as clearly as they can see your business. Good thing there was no one present. Overall was a 2 of 5 stars because the service was lacking communication between each other, cleanliness not being there, restroom not being inviting. Our server though exhibited fine qualities of customer service.

Went to location in Arden earlier this week and had such a good experience my sister wanted to go again. I thought I wanted to try a different place. This was so not the same as the Arden location in Sacramento. The food was not thoroughly cooked not sure if it was this cook or if it is always like this here but I hardly come this way only twice a year. I would only come back if I wasn't paying and my omelette was not bad. The pancakes and biscuit were gummy and food didn't come out hot. Waiter was nice
