Avatar Indian Grill

Found a long hair deep in our takeout Veg coconut curry, after we were halfway done. We called the restaurant and asked for a full refund as we were afraid to eat anything else after we found the hair, but the restaurant would only refund the curry (even though all the food was made in the same kitchen). The manager also refused to talk to us and we had to discuss with the poor counter staff who basically had to be our messenger. Poor customer service and unsanitary food. Will not go back.

I am so grateful it is salted right. It is worth the 50 mile drive. The Nan bread was so delicious. We got the family pack. This way it reminds us of the Indian buffets we used to go to. what is different about Avatar is there samosas. I have tried East African samosas and Indian samosas at many places. They put a special touch on theirs and the presentation is really good that I prefer Avatar Style samosas their chicken. The cooking a wait staff are very busy. It seems like they make their food fresh. That's a blessing. How the food is presented and how it taste, it seems that the staff really knows what they're doing and care about serving quality food. I've been here more than a couple of times and I have been satisfied. This is my favorite restaurant and Central Coast. It wasn't hard for them to become my favorite because other restaurants and Salinas is you know like Salinas.

Avatar is always tasty, but this time I had to wait over 35 minutes cuz my order got rejected online... their only response was it must've been their internet connection. Anyways I still waited, which shows that its deffinitely worth trying. We always get the butter chicken & garlic naan... this time I tried the chicken biyrani with it... not as flavorful as I wouldve liked, but for most this will satisfy the craving.

I tried Indian food but did not like much at other places, but here its very good food and the best thing is you can add spices as per your choice. Butter Chicken I really loved it. Recommended for Indian food choice. Services are good. Only thing is they close at 9pm so if you want to eat then best time to go here is 6 - 8:30pm. Quantity and quality both are good. Butter Chicken cost around $ 13. Biryani is also good. Sometimes during the weekend, they serve butter chicken with plain rice as a complimentary. I enjoyed eating here. Friendly staff and understand your taste.

⚡☠️ In India, they put a warning around dangerous places. Sadly this place requires such warning. ⚡⚡☠️💀 We had ordered Daal Makhani and few paneer dishes and surprisingly all dishes had same gravy. I dont understand how daal and paneer can have same gravy. I saw the chef carry Sriracha sauce but didnt bother until my food arrived and I tasted it. Chef had added Sriracha sauce to all dishes to make it spicy. Service was super slow as they prioritized phone orders over customers in store. We felt sick after eating the food. Go at your own risk. They are nice people, no hard feelings, just that cooking is not their strengths. ⚡⚡☠️💀⚡⚡☠️💀
