Good ice cream but it's so loud in the mall that the employees have a hard time hearing your order. That waffle cone bowl was supposed to have spinkles and chocolate on it. Oh well, my daughter was fine with the modification and I paid less...lol

Delicious ice cream and mix ins. Sizes leave something to be desired though. Always quite small. Prices are good and fair and the desserts are excellent quality. Traffic in that spot is a bit crowded since it's right along a main walkway and eating area, but not too bad most days.

Went today around 3PM. A family was before me and asked the family to please not touch EVERYTHING because of COVID. They were touching the glass and the cup display. After, the father ran his hand ALL over the glass purposely. Nothing was said by the employee (Corina). I told her being in healthcare that she would need to sanitize everything. Of course I left. The employee may not have been equipped/trained to handle a situation like that. It's just too bad that "that" father didn't UNDERSTAND the gravity of his behavior. This is why the virus is spread... cuz folks don't understand the gravity of their behavior

I tried ordering a "Create my own Cake" on-line, however it states "Unless you order from the Ready For Pick Up Now category below, Cold Stone Cakes requires that you place online orders at least 24 hours in advance. If you have a rush order needed in less than 24 hours please call the store directly to order by phone."
I called the Salinas store @ 11:15 am (see picture) & Chris (he said his name was Chris) who answered the phone, he just said, "No we need 24 hours." I explained to him that on the website it states I can call. He repeated "No we need 24 hours." I was not allowed to order the birthday cake for our daughter. 🤬
I've ordered 2 cakes (9/12/2020 & 2/10/2021) after this incident & added 6 scoops of almonds in the ice cream. I ordered the same ice cream cake for (3/8/2021) & now John & his manager say they only allow 3 scoops & it will be .99 each for the 3 extra scoops. It doesn't state on the app & they couldn't tell me when the policy was changed 🤬

I stopped buying from this place because the service is awful! Every single day they do the same thing. They turn off their lights literally around 8:30 when the mall clearly states that they close at 9. Not only that but they clean up and put all of the ice cream away and will not serve you anything from 8:30 and on. Seriously it only the person in charge would actually pay attention to their sales towards closing time especially the last 30mins they will actually notice a decrease in sales because the associates are always closing 30 minutes before! This is ridiculous I always see people walking away because they won’t serve them.

After my fiancee took two samples to determine what type of ice cream she wanted, she was informed she would have to walk to the nearest trash bin, as the manager on duty stated there was none available. As my fiancee was walking away, the manager on duty was quick to look at me and say "it's not that big of a deal, it's not that far of a walk."
His comment and tone quickly prompted me to ask for his name. Which he said he did not need to provide. I then asked for the name of the owner of the franchise. He told me it was "Chris" and did not remember the last name, nor did he have a phone number or any contact information for him. I then asked him nicely to see his business license, as I could not see it clearly from the distance it was from the wall to the counter. He stated he could not hand it to me or bring it down.
California Law requires a business permit to be visible and readable. While it was visible, it was not readable, nor was assistance offered to bring the permit closer to accommodate my disability. Also, the employees were not wearing gloves while handling food.
The tone of the manager on duty was highly unnecessary. His need to argue back regarding the trash bin, serving food without gloves and lack of accommodating a disability was unwarranted.
I would appreciate a messagefrom Mr. Christopher de la Cruz, the owner of the Cold Stone Creamery at Northridge Mall in Salinas, California. I would also strongly encourage Mr. de la Cruz to review food handling procedures and reinforce the need for a trash bin to be accessible if samples are provided.
I would expect Mr. de la Cruz to hold his manager on duty accountable and reprimand him as such.

This location is IN the Northridge mall. Aside from the address being listed wrong and having to call for directions, the ice cream cake was delicious and the gentleman who helped me at the store was very nice.
