Bruges Belgian Bistro

I can not stress this enough when I say that this is the best waffle place I have ever been to. We ordered a bunch of chicken and waffles, and they were great. From the presentation to the texture, everything was immaculate. The waffles were the perfect texture and had a good flavor. The chicken was juicy and perfectly complimented the sweet syrup, which was real syrup, by the way. The breading on the chicken was really crispy, too. The only downside was that it was a tiny shop and you had to eat outside, which wasn't very pretty because it was downtown. Great place.

Fantastic! I love this place. Food is flavorful, filling, and unique. The sweet waffles are a great treat. Service is counter order the come pickup when you’re called. Atmosphere is outside seating only, on the sidewalk next to the street. The street is pretty quiet. Sat out here with my dog. I always hit up Bruges when I’m in SLC.

I’ve never had anything like their traditional waffle. It has this coating of sugar around it giving it a beautiful crunch and flavor with every bite. The crème they put on top is eloquent. I also got coffee with crème as well and 🙃 top notch. We almost got a second after the first one but we restrained ourselves. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a delicious sweet treat!

Stopped here for breakfast at the recommendation of our dear friends before heading to the airport after a wedding. I can see why they rave about it! Our party got the chicken and waffles as well as The Favorite, and everyone loved their food. Perfect portion sizes too, very filling. In a world of oversized American portions, it was refreshing to have a perfectly sized meal that was still very filling. Frites we’re also quite tasty, and the sauces were delicious! Would love to come again when I’m next in town!

The waffles had that nice crispy outside and soft and steamy inside that is very desirable in a waffle, and they were sweet but with a buttermilk type flavor that really gave it a good balance. The whipped cream and chocolate sauce also tasted like the good stuff, and not like corners were cut. The chicken was breaded with a thin crispy coating which was different from regular American chicken but very tasty. Fries were nicely seasoned, and the garlic aioli in particular was an excellent sauce. Price point wise I don't know that I'd be able to eat here every day but it's definitely a great local splurge I would recommend to anyone who enjoys waffles, chicken, or fries.
