This place is our weeknight go-to for good value, yummy traditional Mexican fare. The chili colorado is especially great. We can always count on the friendly faces of the wait staff, and to leave very satisfied. I also appreciate that it is a local establishment, not a big chain.

Best Mexican food in Salt Lake City, i've been going there for years. All authentic and their dishes all taste amazing, very filling and perfect meal sizes! All of the staff are great and the service is top notch, try Cafe Salvestre out!!

Excellent experience. Safety minded, friendly and respectful service and the food was perfect! Plates were hot and cheese sizzling when the food came out.
Of the 6 or 7 mexican restaurants in east Holladay/Millcreek cafe silvestre is currently winning. Beans were flavorful, portions were good and price was $1-2 less than others in the area. Simple menu and the salsa and chips were delish!!!
Thank you for a great first dinner out in a long long time.

Handled our group of 27 very well! Only one waitress basically for all of us, but she's a pro! Others helped out some. She was amazing! Great food. Great prices! Limited menu because of our group size, which I liked. We made a reservation.

Service was timely and professional, ordered the Enchiladas and the house margarita. Both of which were very delicious. The server we had was extremely positive and very personable. Overall an excellent dining experience that I plan on enjoying again.

Good food and fast service. The only thing I didn’t like is how they charge you for almost every little thing. I feel like they nickel and dime you. They charge for chips and salsa and we ordered fajitas and the fajitas only come with the meat, peppers and onions. They charge you extra for the guacamole, sour cream and even cheese. But other than that it’s a good place.

The owner is incredibly nice, and always makes you feel welcome. The food is really good, especially the chips and salsa!

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in SLC. I’m here multiple times a month, sometimes by myself, sometimes with the whole fam, sometimes just grabbing take out. We’re here often enough that all the servers know us. My favorite item is the smothered burrito (and add the cheese and onions!). Seriously, their green chili is AMAZING.
