Hires Big H

The food is always amazing!! The staff is always so friendly & efficient!! They are so sweet & patient with my two hyper little kiddos. I love the remodel, however, I was a little sad to see that they got rid of all of the old car photos that they used to have up prior to the remodel. But that was the only downfall. Keep up the amazing work, Hires!

The hamburger is so good! I think that they need to update the intercom on the drive thru. It literally took me 2 minutes to tell the lady that I wanted raw onion instead of grilled because she couldn't understand what I was saying. I was screaming what I wanted before I had to drive to the window to tell her. She also messed up my order, I'm sure it was because of the intercom. I got onion rings instead of fries. I love the home made fries so I made her correct my order. I felt bad but for $17, I'm going to make sure that my order is correct. The root beer is also not as good as I remember. It tasted very flat. Super disappointing.

I've been going here all my life, but was a little disappointed with the remodel. It doesn't seem to have the best layout for the tables and they definitely chose the wrong flooring; you can see every crumb and mark and it makes the restaurant look dirty. I don't think they have figured out the service either because it was slow and we had several different waiters. That being said the food was back to pre-covid quality which is what matters the most!

This is my dad's and mine favorite Wednesday night dinner place. I love the fresh cut fries. A ice cold mug of root beer. The hamburgers are made with fresh hamburger. I have yet to find something on their menu I don't like. The also have pizza and pasta dishes. Salads and if you like garlic bread like I do they have some of the best in the state.

The food is always good. It's been around forever and the service is fantastic. You know a place is good when you see the same people working there year after year and they're happy. It tells me that they like their job, and when someone likes their job, they'll do it very well. And the classic diner/drive in feel is just plain fun!
