Publik Coffee Roasters

I’ve been going to Publik 3rd ave for years and they’ve always been fantastic. Eva, Nate, Noah, and Olivia are all wonderful, they have an attention to detail and care for the coffee they make. They’re friendly, kind, and always a welcome sight at the ungodly morning hours. With rotating food options and the coffee components all made in house, you can’t go wrong. I have been to other Publik Coffee Roasters at West Temple and I enjoyed their coffee a lot, so when my friend asked me to pick a spot for our catch up, here we are! First time here and I immediately loved the setting of this one more than their West Temple location. This one is way smaller but more cozy in the design with outdoor patio seating. Their coffee is as good as the one I had in West Temple and I just love that they are able to pulled off a nice heart for me! The avocado toast is just as good as the pictures, fresh and crunchy but not overdone!

So far this is the best coffee shop I've been to in Salt Lake City. The quality of the drip coffee sets Publik above the competition. I also found their cafe very charming. Ample street parking is available and the cafe is a normal length bike ride from the Downtown SLC area or the University area. The immediate area around this cafe is very residential with large trees and older homes with green lawns. The cafe does a great job with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Publik Avenues gives you the same menu of toasts and pastries as the roastery location, but with a more intimate space and a charming patio. One drawback is that the indoor seats are all metal IKEA stools, so you'll be dining sans back support. I suppose that helps the tables turn over. The patio tables outside are more comfortable, and there's always plenty of folks enjoying their offerings. The baristas are top notch. Service is friendly and quick with four staff members behind the counter.
