As a coffee enthusiast and a frequent traveler, this place is a gem. Not because of how it’s conveniently located in the heart of the city, or because of the fact that the owner roasts his beans in-house, or even because of vast array of equipment he has at his disposal to fit any type of coffee needs. It’s because of the owner/sole employee’s passion for his craft. This form of artisanal dedication is very rare to come by. Make sure to stop by before or after you walk the Temple Square or the town mall and you will not be disappointed. This café has become my official coffee stop for Salt Lake City Utah.

This guy knows more about his craft and trade than anyone you'll ever meet. This is not a coffee shop, it's an experience. And for those who comment that he is rude, he is not. The next time you meet a person who doesn't make much eye contact, who is very direct, and who is extremely passionate about his work, you'll know that is not rudeness. And yes, he is right, it is the most delicious espresso I have ever tasted :)

Pricey but worth it. This is a one-man operation of incredible quality. Go in with an open mind. I asked what he would recommend and he said the espresso, so that’s what I went with. It came out to $11.91 after tax, which is confusing because other espresso-based drinks like the cortado were only $7, but I’m not complaining. It was a memorable experience. I wish I had time for a siphon but he said that requires at least an hour to do it justice.

This is some of the best coffee I've ever had. If you've got the time to sit down for the siphon brew, it is an experience worth having. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and refuses to serve you anything but the absolute best he can do. It may be pricier than what you're used to paying for coffee, but it is undoubtedly worth it
