Truly an amazingOn a blistering hot day in downtown San Antonio Texas whether you are resident or traveling to visit the greatest and cultural City in the country you must stop at Mr ice cream off of East commerce Street. Mr ice cream is truly a place to visit, right near the Riverwalk you will send your taste buds on a cool chilling adventure well basking through the glorious downtown attractions. Growing up here my mother and I always got me a delicious ice cream cone when I was a kid. My favorite flavor of course is always going to be cookie dough now if you are an old school flavor fanatic, vanilla, chocolate or strawberry go ahead but I recommend getting the sprinkled chocolate covered cones you will love it Now if decide not to come during the day where the sun is shining high above the clouds, I recommend coming when the sun is about to set that is when you yourself will experience and get to see lights turn on along the Riverwalk where it is cooler at night there's no better spot in San Antonio but to enjoy a delicious ice cream cone or simple way at a delicious mouth watering chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and cherry on the top and of course add sprinkles, I hate to say it but I personally had a date here for the first time and it was absolutely romantic, 😂💓 my date she thought it was romantic and cute as we shared a chocolate milkshake together and towards the end we walked along the Riverwalk so I recommend making this your stop

My sister and I were in town 2 Saturday’s ago and I have a mixed review. It was a scorching night and we were so excited to get some ice cream. The line was huge but had only 2 workers for prime time Sat. night. Only 1 was helping customers. The other cleaned and moved things for our whole 45 min wait. The young man was amazing-polite and efficient. The glass cases were held together by messy, old tape and a thorough sprucing up is needed. Flavor description would be very helpful. Ice cream was good once we got it. Thank you for replying- I can appreciate your struggles and love that you addressed our issues directly and timely. I’ve upgraded my review and definitely will be back. The young man who helped us really was a great employee and we told him so that night.

I have mixed emotions- by the name and advertising I thought it was going to be handmade by Mr Ice Cream. That wasn’t the case (wink). All of the ice cream was blue bell (smirk face). Don’t get me wrong- the Blue Bell was on point, just not what I was expecting. I had the salted Carmel brownie and Hubs had the red velvet ice cream in a (pre-made, out of a box) waffle cone. The service was eh, the atmosphere cool; however your best bet is to take it outside and people watch on the Riverwalk

The scorching San Antonio heat can be exhausting! But I found the perfect solution to cool off - two delectable scoops of my all-time favorite Blue Bell Ice Cream flavors: Cherry Vanilla and Jamoca Almond Fudge. I simply can't resist the creamy goodness of Blue Bell Ice Cream, and it never fails to hit the spot. Thanks for always delivering such delicious treats!

Old style ice cream shop. No soft serve. Buckets in freezers and tons of flavors. Get it in a dish or cones. Biggest issue we’ve faces here is the wait, if there are a bunch of people and only one server. However, you can’t always predict when you will have a surge, and help has been hard to find. So I’m not complaining, just explaining there could be a wait. Other than gal hat, we’ve always enjoyed our selections, and it back patio has a set of stairs that brings you right within feet of the river of the river walk in a popular area. So it’s a great choice to consider after you’ve had a meal down there, and walked around for a bit and looking for a cool treat as a chaser. It carry’s an older theme of the bar stools and such. Not fully, but somewhat. Either way, the theme doesn’t change what your taste buds will thank you for.
